Thanks Denis, and yes you’re right about the seatbelt. Should be in place before too long…..can’t fly without it!
geedubelyer
What a bobby dazzler I'm particularly struck by the light in that first image Max. You caught that just right. Without the stand in the shot she looks like she's in flight. A splendid finish my friend
Phil88
Well done Max, it’s magnificent. I love your painting. I also used stencils from "oneman army" and the effect on the plane is great. Edited March 31 by Phil88 Mistake geedubelyer
Archimedes
That is stunning Max! The work on the exhausts is particularly convincing, as is the paint finish all over. Bravo! Kind regards, Paul

The tricky part is going to be putting the individual prop blades in place, getting angles and planes all looking right. 51 minutes ago, Phil88 said: Well done Max, it’s magnificent. I suggested to Sven a generic set that could be applied to lots of different types but I think he’s pretty busy at the moment. 33 minutes ago, Archimedes said: That is stunning Max! For me exhausts have “character”, so often they are painted rust brown and just look wrong. In fact of course the colouring is very complex because the heat “tempering”….this is always my aim. 13 minutes ago, dennismcc said: You are doing a great job Max, that looks absolutely superb like a Hurricane should. They're the only ones I use - I've been tempted to try others but working on the "If it ain't broke why fix it?" principle, I'll stick with MRP thank you! Landrotten Highlander
Very nice paint work, however, for me it looks like the spinner is a bit too low (or is this how it should look in hurricanes?) The way it looks now this step above the spinner should generate some unwanted drag...

It’s supposed to be there, designed specifically to catch leaking oil. scvrobeson, Paul in Napier, Landrotten Highlander and 1 other 3
