I am working on this brand new kit for a couple of days now. Since I am lucky to live close to the producers, I was blessed with getting the kit 2 days after the official release. If you are interested in the contents and my first impressions, I have summed them up in another forum, so allow me to just give the link

I have worked in parallel on three areas in this starting phase.

I cut the floats from the massive casting blocks, some air bubbles which appeared in the places of connection were duly tracked, filled with plastic profile inserts and are being sanded

The second area is the cockpit, the combination of resin, 3D printed and PE parts. I replaced the flattish PE rudder bar set, the oil pump with scratch and added 20 rigging lines with Gaspatch turnbuckles. Control cables to ailerons and rudder as well as throttle control connection and a fuel line to the valve were added, too. Plus the sheets of paper to mask the fuse seam joint at the bottom. I also added the wire inserts to facilitate joining the floor pieces and cross-bars with the side trusses.

The interior fits the well fuselage, though I had to delicately sand down the sides of the instrument panel.

The fuselage will be closed together with the Benz engine.

It comes as the complete 3D printed element. Firstly, the traces of printing layers on many spots need to be sanded down, a delicate thing to do. Also, I decided to cut several elements to facilitate painting. With the help of razor saw and a new sharp shaving razor I managed to detach the intake manifolds, the valve push rods and the spark plugs. The former will be reused but the pushrods will be replaced with soldering wire bits and the spark plugs will come thanks to Taurus resin spares.

When cutting the brittle 3D print material one has to be extra careful, no pressure at all, just the slow motion cutting with a sharp blade. I suggest trying on the abundant printing trees before tackling the engine.

Thanks..

And  the last glimpses before closing. Benz got some dirt, one former under it had to be trimmed to avoid collision with pipes at the engine bottom, elevator control lines are added, mainly for the sake of the rear cockpit, in the front one they are not to be seen, so some fiction is allowed...
