Yes, it's going to end up that way. It is painted with MMP Cold Rolled Steel. Probably should have started with something a bit lighter. I did run over the pushrods and fins with a Prismacolor Metallic Silver pencil. It doesn't seem quite as dark in person.

It’s not a problem with the upper wing; the cabane struts are too tall. . .

Yes, it looks like it. Using the drawings in Windsock #26, it looks like it is on the order of 33% too tall. :hmmm:Have to decide where I'm going to trim it. I think I might have some plastic strut material, I'll have to have a look. Probably means that the wing struts are too tall too.

Its been a while. Top wing, it isn't perfect but I'm pleased. Markings masks were cut with a Cameo 4.

I need to finish with the 'green' on the fuselage then unmask it.

It's taken a while because of peeling paint. I've been thinking that I didn't do enough to clean it up before I put on primer. I've also had to make a trip to PA from TN at the beginning of the month. Another one this coming weekend too. I'll see how far I get before the end of the month.

Arrrrgghhh! One step forward, two steps back. As I started to spray the fuselage side I realized that I forgot to put the last masking layer on the fuselage roundels, so I sprayed 'green' onto the blue paint for the left side roundel. Sir, Step away from the airbrush.

Oh good - it's not just me then...
