RLWP
Will the engine be as dark as that when you have finished? Richard
denders
Yes, it's going to end up that way. It is painted with MMP Cold Rolled Steel. Probably should have started with something a bit lighter. I did run over the pushrods and fins with a Prismacolor Metallic Silver pencil. It doesn't seem quite as dark in person. denders
Checking how the struts line up. And how everything is going to line up. The tail surfaces are in place. Gazzas, MikeMaben, Cheetah11 and 7 others

Yes, it looks like it. Using the drawings in Windsock #26, it looks like it is on the order of 33% too tall. Have to decide where I'm going to trim it. I think I might have some plastic strut material, I'll have to have a look. Probably means that the wing struts are too tall too.

denders
Its been a while. Top wing, it isn't perfect but I'm pleased. Markings masks were cut with a Cameo 4. I need to finish with the 'green' on the fuselage then unmask it. It's taken a while because of peeling paint. I've been thinking that I didn't do enough to clean it up before I put on primer. I've also had to make a trip to PA from TN at the beginning of the month. Another one this coming weekend too. I'll see how far I get before the end of the month. denders
Arrrrgghhh! One step forward, two steps back. As I started to spray the fuselage side I realized that I forgot to put the last masking layer on the fuselage roundels, so I sprayed 'green' onto the blue paint for the left side roundel. Sir, Step away from the airbrush. LSP_Kevin, Gazzas, RLWP and 1 other 1

denders
This is probably as far as I'm going to get before the end of the month. I've added some weathering. Note the mottling of the white on the top wing roundels in the photo of the nose up aircraft.
