Kagemusha
Great resource Damian, arigato. ps, have just edited the title so it's easier to find using the search engine/google.
LSP_Mike
A lot of info there. I'd hope that this will be the next Japanese plane to be re-tooled by Hasegawa, and they settle on one type. The current kit is a mix of -I, and -III features. So, while this type was very common, it became obsolete pretty quickly. Still a frontline fighter for a few years, and a last ditch fighter for the rest.

I've been on a bit of a Japanese kick here lately and a new/revised Oscar would certainly be great. Alain Gadbois
Alain Gadbois
A lot of information to digest on that site. Seems my Nichimo Ki 43 is not as accurate as I thought... Makes me want to start my Revell 1/32 kit! Thanks for the link! Alain
LSP_Mike
I'd be curious which kit is better: Revell, or hasegawa LSP_K2

I'm curious about how they compare, too. Kev
Alain Gadbois
The Revell kit is typical of their kits of the era: raised panel lines and little interior. But the raised detail is quite fine and shapes appear OK. I would do a camouflaged one. The interior is the most disappointing, but is there aftermarket for the Hasegawa that could be used? Alain Didn't notice all that dust when taking the photos, sorry! Edited January 10, 2019 by Alain Gadbois D.B. ringleheim
Always liked the Oscar; such a petit elegance to the design. Probably my favorite Japanese plane of WWII, purely from an aesthetic standpoint. Alain Gadbois

MikeMaben
I have a Revell Japan issue from 1973. It has proper parts for a IIb but the differences were mainly exhaust and cowl scoops. A very simple kit, does need a cockpit like Mr. G says.
thierry laurent
It is quite incredible no good recent kit has been released. I have yet to understand why Hasegawa released a new Zero rather than an Oscar.
Kagemusha
It's got to be next Japanese subject on the list from Hasegawa.
