Hubert Boillot
Now I see the pics ... you've been de-jinxed ! And worth the wait they were ! As for the flaps, nice as they are, and whilst admitting I am definitely no MiG-15 expert, I would not think they'd lower in in-flight maneuvering ... Shawn M
I agree Hubert, bummer but oh well. Im still going to use the PE flaps as they are WAY better then the kit bits, just glued up instead of down Edited February 8, 2018 by Shawn M
Gazzas
Yay! You've got it together and looking smooth. Great work! Gaz Shawn M
1to1scale
Its looking good now! Sometimes you need to work a project that tests you abilities, now pick and easy Hasegawa kit next, it will just fall together. Shawn M
Thanks Brian, Im getting down to the "fun" part now. Paint! I dipped the canopy in future a couple days back so its time to mask it up and get the interior colors on. The plan for color so far is: NMF all over, different shades etc. The bottom will be left this way. Now for the top in blue(s). Looking at the vid from my first post, the blue is worn...I mean beat up worn almost transparent in places. So, thats how Im gonna do it. Preshade the panel lines in a nice blue, then spray tamiya transparent blue over the top sides. Then come back in almost a black basing style with the blue and fill it in to indicate wear and the beat up nature of the paint. This may change a million times before the first blue gets laid down, but thats the plan as of now lol Gazzas, Alain Gadbois, BradG and 1 other

Shawn M
After fiddling about all morning with the flaps, the kit parts wen back in..yes they are devoid of detail but they fit better. Then I started on the PE speed brakes, what a terribly designed fiddly assembly! Kit parts went in, closed position.... Antennas started going on, the pilot went back in along with his gunsight. I decided against using the aluminum tape for the blast panels and will mask/paint them instead. dmthamade and Gazzas

Shawn M
was reaaaallly hoping to have more done this weekend But, cockpit done with completed gun site (mostly from scratch) and scratch built rear framing just got the canopy masked and glued on now masking a VAC canopy is a PITA Edited February 11, 2018 by Shawn M Trak-Tor, Big Texan, Out2gtcha and 8 others
