blackbetty Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) Cant seem to get away from the Korean war, so many interesting planes.... Started on the Trumpy skyraider, i really dig the dark blue paintsheme, hope i can do it justice it will be an A4D based on the Valley Forge 1951 i will try to cobble the decals together and make some of them myself Edited July 18, 2016 by blackbetty Harold and Lee White 2
blackbetty Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 first, i adressed the prop blades. i know there are Harolds wonderful resin replacements, but funds are tight at the moment, so i will do some old-fashionned scratchbuilding a pic of the real thing on the left, scaled to 1:32 the trumpy blades are too skinny so i made a strategic cut down the middle and inserted a sheet wedge some putty and after some sanding, primer and black, voilá allthumbs, Lee White, Whitey and 4 others 7
blackbetty Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 i also did some work on the pit and the engine (all panels and the shutters will be closed) LSP_Paul 1
blackbetty Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 fuselage interior (cant be seen after assembly) LSP_Paul 1
blackbetty Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 ...and some ordnance (more to come). these parts are from the ZM weapons set and the F-80 kit. still searching for a single seamed tank from a mustang or P-47 kit to use as a napalm container (pretty please) stay tuned... LSP_Paul 1
Thunda Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Great job on the prop- I just dont have the courage to cut into parts like that in case I screw it up!
blackbetty Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 well the part is unusable as is (at least for me ), so the worst that can happen is that you do have to order the resin replacements Harold 1
