DougN
Wheel bay looks very convincing. Great to see another Hurri being built! mozart
mozart
Thanks Doug, Hurricanes are full of character aren't they? The clean-up is going quite well though some substantial pieces of plasticard need to be put into the gaps either side: Max Azgaron, BradG, tomv87 and 3 others

monthebiff
Looking good Max, lot's of work on your hands there, these Hurricane's sure don't build up easily do they. Keep up the great work on this one. Regards Andy
mozart
We don't like our modelling made easy though do we Andy....there's a broad streak of the masochist in both of us!! Max monthebiff

mozart
It's been an interesting exercise, having just completed MDC's cockpit for the Typhoon to then construct Grey Matters' cockpit for the Hurricane. I have to say they are streets apart: GM's quality of moulding is so fine (the downside of this is that it's incredibly fragile and breaks very easily), its trueness with no warping at all and the instructions which, whilst far from perfect are nonetheless easier to follow makes the Hurricane cockpit a real pleasure to build, though it's probably the most challenging in terms of fragility and handling project that I've ever tackled. Not for the inexperienced or faint-hearted but well worth the effort: Daniel460, Jeff, Shaka HI and 5 others

Shaka HI
My, my, we are ambitious! Two builds! GM's cockpit oozes detail even with the small photo you provided, but that fact that the seat is translucent, tells me this thing must maintain scale thickness which always adds realism in my eyes... mozart
If the Hurricane goes well, there may be a third build Shaka, a Tiger Moth!! I've pretty much finished the cockpit this afternoon, pictures tomorrow, but you're right about the translucency of the seat and the obvious implications about delicacy!
