Fieseler Fi-103 “V1” Flying Bomb

Recommended Posts

I wanted to do a quick, no hassle build while still working on the F4B-4, so I chose this 1/35 Bronco V1 kit :) The build was very straightforward, and just required a little fit tweaking at the wingroots and on the engine insert that represents the air slats (the intake). I painted the bottom with RLM 76LichtBlau; the fuselage with RLM 83 DunkelGrun; and the wings/tailplanes with RLM 81 BraunViolet consistent with the sub-assembly nature of the V1's manufacturing, and to give it a more interesting look. Overall a nice easy build, and it looks pretty cool in the display case :) On to the photos:

Great model Doug :goodjob:

I really like the look of that kit, so I shall look out for it (I would really like a 1/32 version, as I like the Fi 103).

Beautifully made and painted Doug.

Cheers

Looks really good Doug. I might have to get one too. Nice paint job.

Note: After posting the above I ordered one from Roll Models. Neither Sprue Bros., Great Models or MidTenn Hobbies had one (other than the piloted version).

Very nice Doug. As usual, nice, tight luftwaffe camo. Very clean.... I think it needs some dirt on it from being shoved around on the dolly on the way to its launching pad on the coast of France.

Very nice work on this one Doug! Always liked the -103, and have built a few of the Tamiya 1/48 version. Excellent work on the paint demarcations too.

Doug,

Great paint job and nice work on the kit. Are you missing the actuating rod that comes out of the right rear portion of the tail and attaches to the rudder?
