Thanks everyone for your kind words.

 

It is hard to say what the exterior colour was. The "word of mouth" is that the exterior colour was the same as the interior colour. I got a lot of help from Joe Maxwell of Max Decals who has been researching the subject for a while.

The model was awarded a Gold Medal in the Aviation Trophy class of the IMSS competition in Dublin last week-end.

I had a great time.

But... how else can I encourage people to have a go? ;) I would like my photos to inspire people. If I say: "It is as difficult as hell, you will hate it, you need expensive tools!", will that help? :rolleyes: It really is not that difficult to scratchbuild, you really do not need expensive tools, you just need to want to try.
