Archimedes Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Well here’s something from the leftfield….This was posted as something new on Armorama. A 1/35 Hovercraft by Gecko Models. What is wrong with these people!? Don’t they know all hovercraft are aircraft!? Outrageous!!!🙈😂 Kind regards, Paul blackbetty, Rick Griewski, Bill Cross and 8 others 3 8
Dave Williams Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 I got the kit a couple of weeks ago. It’s pretty nice. Archimedes, BloorwestSiR and Martinnfb 3
blackbetty Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 thinking about getting it too BloorwestSiR, Martinnfb and Archimedes 3
BloorwestSiR Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 It's a very nice kit. I'm waiting for hopefully some figure kits to come out as the only thing missing would be a crew. Archimedes and Martinnfb 2
MikeC Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 I hope that nobody who's got one has found it full of eels? (Python afficianados will probably understand.) EvilCarrot, Archimedes and wunwinglow 3

If so, does the kit offer that option?
MikeC Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Afaik the skirt deforms as the craft settles down. This looks very much like the SRN6, as used on the Portsmouth-Isle of Wight run in the 80s. They were very noisy craft! geedubelyer and Archimedes 1 1
BloorwestSiR Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 No option for a deflated skirt in the kit. You can have the front door/boarding ladder open or closed. geedubelyer 1

I went to France in an SR.N4 in the late 1980's and it was the antithesis of what I expected (smoothly gliding over the wave tops). I think it was the noisiest machine of any kind that I have ever been in and the ride was actually quite bumpy. I agree with @MikeC - that the kit looks very like SR.N6. Kind regards, Paul MikeC 1
