Bill Cross
Over the years I have ordered some marvelous stuff from Maurizio Amelotti at Videoaviation. Today I received this sad message: Dear customers, I have to inform you that from today I can no longer accept orders outside the European Union. A combination of factors such as my age, health problems and customs bureaucracy force me to slow down my work and this remains the only solution to the total closure of my business. In any case, as a thank you for the trust shown over the years, I remain available to evaluate some small orders in the future with all the limits that there will be in terms of quantity and shipping times. I will evaluate your requests carefully via email and will let you know if there is availability from time to time. Thanks for everything and happy modeling as always. dutik, LSP_Ray, BiggTim and 2 others 1
GusM
Damn, that's a shame. Bought some really nice stuff from Maurizio down the years.
MikeC
Disappointed! But I do understand. I've had some items over the years, it is top quality. Best wishes to Maurizio for the future. Bill Cross
Royboy
This must affect his business quite a bit but understandable. Like most people I've bought a lot of his stuff which is top notch and I'm very sad he can't do it any longer. Anyway, I still have stuff in stock to use in the future and will remember with great appreciation his skills and top level services to his customers outside of the E.U. Thanks Maurizio! thierry laurent
I have a large part of his excellent 1/32 range and we used to collaborate in the past. This was always a true pleasure. This announcement is sad news but is again a reflect of the fact most of us are retired or not very far from the initial retirement age. Alas, I'm afraid we will have other similar announcements from one-man garage/cottage industries. Bill Cross and MikeC
Tony T
Yes, I got the same email as Bill. I need another 1:32 Dash 60, plus MD-3 and Houchin starters so will plead my case shortly. Another symptom the Brexit fiasco. Tony Bill Cross and thierry laurent 1
Marcel111
Shame about Maurizio and Videoaviation. I recently ordered some Mk83’s from him and they are excellent. Not sure about the overall gloomy sentiment, there is such a massive amount of high quality AM available these days compared to, say, 10 years ago. I remember when there were no decent Aim-9M’s and Aim-120’s out there and we had to use the thick winged stuff supplied with the kits. Cheers, Marcel

Cheers, Marcel Maurizio said his nearest post office is closed for 3 months for renovation work, so he's slowing down and then will see where it goes. For me, now outside the EU, it is borderline tragic: ResKit are starting to do some Aerospace Ground Equipment like the MJ-1 'jammer' and Flightpath do some RAF GPU gear, but Videoaviation is the only firm to produce ubiquitous starters from the 1960s-1980s like the USAF MD-3 and A/M32A Dash 60 'huffer'. John1
Sad to hear this, I used his M117 bombs for my F-4C and they were awesome (and very reasonably priced, even with shipping factored in). Bill Cross
John1
Just realized he’s the only outfit who makes 1/32 Rockeyes (at least that I could find via Google). I need a couple for my A-4 build. Sent email to owner asking for a favor, he’s going to take care of me. Great guy! Tony T

I kick myself for only buying one Dash 60 and the LOX cart this past year, but needed to split the order and didn't act fast enough with a follow-up. The Videoaviation ground support kits really are stunning. An order of magnitude better than Flightpath. Tony MikeC

Regardless, I'll be well served with VA's Rockeyes if they are anything close to his M117's. Bill Cross
