    Hello again !!

We have decided to extend the nozzle line of the PW229 with 3 dismantled panels as we did with the Saturn Al-31 of the Sukhoi 27.

Thus the 2 versions with outer petals ( with open and closed nozzle ) have now 2 sub-versions ( full petals or with 3 dismantled petals ).

We take the opportunity to indicate that we are already working on the adaptation of these nozzles to the F-16.

    Hi  Gent's,

I went back to David and posed the question for the drill press dimensions and asked for more pictures.  I only have one picture from a trade show in Taipei.  Morgan is the engineer working on this devise and I also sent me the same request.  I'll post anything I receive.  I'm pretty sure this is a few more months away in making it to the retail market.  This drill press is for the D550 semi pro router and there is also a feature which you can pivot the press for any horizontal cutting like that of a mini table saw.   I'll certainly keep you posted and thanks for the kind words.

    Regards,
    Troy

    Hey Carl,  Bill,

Good to hear all is well in Canada.  I'll have some news to announce soon about some sponge adhesive pads to use with the D400 (sander)..  There is also a new template being offered to easily cut out the sponges that will fit each individual shapes for the sander tips that come with the D400.  I haven't had a chance to try them out yet but I have a good mate to let him go through this for us.

Coming soon there will be a new drill press device to use with the D550 router that is coming out soon.  This is a vertical mount drill press using the D550 (semi pro) that will also have a small table type saw device as an added feature to use.  Coming soon.  If interested, I can provide send some pictures of the prototype.

The new D150 mini pin vise is also a great addition and sells well.

A great shout out to all you gent's for supporting me for the past several years.  Thank you.

    Kindest regards,

    Troy

In looking for a sander for a project, I asked Troy for some advice and picked up a D400 sander from him. It just arrived here in Canada so I'll be looking forward to trying it out.

Thanks for answering my questions and the great service.

The afterburner is already in the final phase.

It is not yet decided whether the exterior parts will be super-detailed or not, for those modelers who want to show it through fuselage panels. But at this moment the response is yes.

To answer at least one aspect of the OP's original questions, I suspect that was all painted on stuff. I'm not aware of them using stickers for any of that.

Bill Cross reacted to Borsos in Trumpeter's BF-109, your opinions please?
You need to check carefully your references. Many detail are wrong for the versions written on the boxes. But nothing a modeler can’t handle. Trumpeter kits generally receive in my opinion worse press than they actually deserve.
but I‘ve seen an early model (E-3?) which had something really oddly looking on the windscreen. So you should carefully read the reviews online, even if they’re more critical than it would be necessary.

I don't think we are ever going to be of one mind about pricing for OOP kits. But please realize I scored on my last two WNW kits, but have a number of armor models that are effectively OOP, yet fetch half of what they originally sold for. So for every WNW goldmine, there are literally scores of old kits begging for buyers (I can sell them at fire-sale prices if I choose).

We don't even know if BNA got them from JetMads. They would not be the first retailer to buy up a lot or lots of kits and resell. I have a modeling friend who does just that. Says his business rests on the the "three Ds: debt, divorce or death."

The point or analogy was made to expose the naivety that some folks think something should be sold for the same price or less than the buyer originally purchased something (anything) for.

In the case of the WNW phenomena Thierry, they effectively doubled in price overnight not 6 months once the news WNW were 'closing due to C19' was announced and which no-one really believed from the start anyway ..!

I think in the instance of WNW keeping consistently high prices, the main reason is that the tooling is owned by an unimaginably wealthy man who 'does not need the money' and is renowned for not selling his ideas or creations to others; indeed, I understand he actually destroyed rather than sell to other his LOTR film props worth millions.?

As such and unlike just about every other model company I can think of who have now ceased trading such as 'Kittyhawk' etc, then the tooling will be a prime asset of the company and so be sold as quickly as possible to get some money back on their original investment and outlay. With SPJ, those fiscal concerns don't apply and so if he has decided to never again "share his toys" with the rest of us, then they are most unlikely to ever see the light of day again as model kits for general sale.

I think it is that acknowledgement among modelers which makes them so desirable and expensive and with no sign of any cooling of re-sale and eBay prices in the near future...if ever.

Absolutely right BIll and I wonder if the very same people moaning about 'market forces' in the pricing of OOP and desirable model kits like the WNW range etc. (or indeed anything in life) would be quite as subjectively naive if someone was to suggest to (them) .."OK then so on the basis of that logic, how about you reciprocate and sell me your house for the same or at a lower price than you originally paid for it...?"

AKA Cafano Dorsale Posteriore -- with corrections to the Italeri kit part (which has an erroneous hatch and is missing the starboard gun cooling port) along with enhanced detail, including open louvers and fully modeled interior surfaces. Hatches modeled separately, along with the optional small rear-facing scoop seen on the later series.
