Or how I saved the first model I've built in 20 years from the trash bin.
For the whole sordid story see the WIP build HERE

Now here's a thing, some might say, of beauty!   Second iteration of the engine completed and the prop plus spinner finished in Bare Metal Foil:

I couldn't resist temporarily putting the engine unit onto the fuselage, not even correctly orientated but you get the drift.

Hoping to do the empennage tomorrow but getting worried about the replacement struts, still seemingly languishing in the Polish postal system....been a week now!

Ooo, Boulton Paul Defiant or Hawker Hurricane Mk.II or Bristol Beaufighter or maybe something pre-war like a Bristol Bulldog Mk.IIa or Gloster Gauntlet or Hawker Fury Mk.I/II but if anything is announced, probably Messerschmitt 109 shaped!

After a long time, a big and very loved (after all it was the aircraft that gave me the most loving and excited experiences of my life) build came to an end!!
I think the only 1/32nd scale A-7H ever made! (that means a lot of minor but distinguished differences from both A-7E and -D)
My ''ride'' for almost 14 years, 2000 hours in her cockpit!!
Dedicated to 345BSqn, my second ''family''
I want to thank Harold (aka AMS resin), Barry, John Wolstenholme (who, IMHO, has built the best A-7E in 1/32 scale) for their help and advice and of course all of you who took the trouble to comment on my topic!!

Here is my Trumpy Lightning incorporated into the build was a 5mm plug inserted into the fuselage (to remove the short wheel based appearance) the undercarriage was shortened and the canopy walls built up. Finished with Vallejo metallics.

Fleet Air Arm Corsair!  A new sprue with the required wingtips and vents and then the F4U-1D wing under surfaces without the Rocket Launcher bits are all that are quirked there, or the F4U-1A under wings with the Landing light deleted.

Just completed a review of the pre-production sample for Alan Wilson's (Islandic Fine Art) upcoming release of the Sea Harrier FA.2. He's also working on an FRS.1 as well as a GR.3, all in 1/32 scale. Make sure to check out the video and contact Alan Wilson via email (alanwilson1959@mail.uk) or through the message board over on Britmodeller to get more information on these great kits and to reserve yours today. Production will be very limited. Chad

Hello all, i hope everyone is well.
This is my Italeri Tornado paint up as 'Danger Mouse' (DM...which is my own initial's) which operated in Iraq circa 2003.
I was greateful of some advice from ex Tornado pilots that when i initially added the GBU-12's which were supplied in the kit were actually incorrect ordinance circa 2003. So i had to invest in some Eduard bits to archive the correct load out, so one TILAD pod and two CPU-123s were added to the kit to get in right. This is just a slight oversight from Italeri    as the supplied ordinance was correct for the other decal versions supplied.
The other extras for this kit are the Red Fox studios cockpit set and the Mastercasters wheels, but the kit overall is a bit of a tough one that you have to work through to get right, one thing id advise others to do when build this kit is be aware for the swing-wing mechanism as it isnt the securest and could fail after a while, but when it works...its work surprisingly well.

A-7 canopy and upgrade is a distinct possibility, well at some point……no promises any more as to when.
Su-27 less likely as I do not have the kit, and there is the single and the two seater to consider, the other point is I have no references on the aircraft or for that matter on any modern Russian aircraft, not my area of interest or knowledge.

    G’day All
This  one is from a few years ago, but I don’t think I ever posted it here.
Its the Kittyhawk P-39Q converted to an RAF Airacobra 1,  by way of using Mastercaster fishtail exhausts. I had planned to replace the kit 37mm with a 20mm and leave the gun bay open, but in the end could not satisfy myself with the details
The kit had a few issues fit wise, nothing too major, but from memory the wings needed shimming.
Markings we’re painted on using a mask set from Maketar for the SH kit.

Theres a few flaws in the build, but it remains one of my favourites.
    thanks for looking
    Bruce

    Hi guys,

Very strange too almost never be at home, and now with the current situation and a lockdown enforced, I have to keep myself busy. A friend of mine wanted to test different printing styles on his home 3D printer a while ago, and asked me for a challenge. So I said a 1/32 Mirage F.1C would be nice, thinking he would not be able to pull it off...lol. Well, he delivered a 1/32 F.1C as best a basic 3D printer can. Oh boy, it's rough, it'll make a blind man cry, but I like a challenge. Even more when it's an aircraft I have a great passion for. A ton of filler and layers of primer later, Started scribing panel lines, and she's starting to look the part

reconspit reacted to Ali62 in 1/32 F-14 undercarriage sets for Tamiya and Trumpeter kits now RELEASED, AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE
    Guys

Here is my plan for the undercarriage parts for the kits. I decided to get the best results ‘hopefully’ price, details and strength I would redraw the main parts so that I can offer a set that will have brass parts and 3D printed parts that can be used with the kit parts, and the obviously further detailed and upgraded by the modellers that choose to do that.
The first picture shows some of the parts from my first trial print. The final brass parts will be developed from the final 3D printed parts and cast by the brass casting company, the grey parts will be supplied as 3D printed parts. Final tweaks still and details need to be made and more parts will be added to the 3D resin parts to complete the sets.
I hope to have these available within June.
I anticipate the price will be in the region of £25.00 to £30.00 per set, with no fixed obligation on your part an email on your interest in any of the sets would assist me greatly for planning
    please email me at aerocraftmodels@gmail.com

    you will have 4 choices
    Tamiya standard configuration
    Tamiya launch configuration
    Trumpeter standard configuration
