  1. Best thing I have heard today!!! Sign me in for two or maybe three!!! This is a model I've been longing for years. Jetmads has another hit I guess. Great job, the span of the jet age they are dealing with is amazing. That's what we modellers need!
  2. Great weathering Aigore! Totally shows all the nice details and makes it a Viggen with quite flying hours. Wondering how the topside will look
  3. Yeah, 21st Century F-104's (and other ones of the series) are nice as ceiling hangers. I have one and hope to convert it to a detailed Starfighter one day, but it's way better for me if someone makes a fully detailed kit before I start Totally agree with your other suggestions, especially with the 1/18 F-16. That would be phenomenal if fully detailed. The F-16 is slightly longer than the F-5 so I don't see a reason why not, assuming the F-5 comes correctly. T-38 would be great too but we already do not have it in 1/32 so that would do good as well even in that scale. 1/18 F-4? That's one of my dreams. Really. But I'm not sure if it is doable with resin material. Probably too large and heavy, I'm not sure it is possible to maintain consistent shrinkage rate of the resin. But if onyone makes it one day I'll be their first customer for a few copies...
  4. Wow, I hadn't seen that! This is truly a master's work, aboslutely beautiful details and whatan eye-catcher with all the crew!!
  5. Even more beautiful with the decals Aigore, keep it coming But I'll disagree with the shield on the tail. I am aware that the Jetmads offering of these squadron insignia is laser printed and dots are visible when you look too close and it would be much better if these too were on the Cartograf sheets, however they seem to my eye to be more correct with the details and the colours of the shield, especially the blue background to start with. Here's my reference to make my point clearer:
  6. That's a good topic! More than anything else I've been curious about their planned 1/18 future releases from the beginning. My favourites are the F-5 and the A-4 but I'd go with the A-37 too if it comes first. F-5 in 1/18 is 80+cm long and this is a must for me as the type is one of my all time favorite aircraft. Maybe too early to to talk about or guess, but F-5B would also be a stellar release. E/F of the A-4 is my first choice, but I will be more than happy if a two seater of the Skyhawk comes too, for I find the trainers and two seaters of most jets to have more graceful lines. I guess the A-37 Dragonfly could be their first 1/18 release. The real airplane is only 9m in length, making its 1/18 kit 50cm long. That is a really nice size to present a charming aircraft in 1/18 and it is just about 2cm short of the 1/32 Viggen. The main factors in pricing a resin kit (or maybe all kits of any material) should be its size. Bigger kits mean more material, both printing and casting resin in this case, and larger moulds. Assuming a 1/18 kit should offer even more details than 1/32 scale and depending on what kind of extras will be offered (like metal landing gears, turned brass or maybe a Quinta grade cockpit detail and so on), I would expect the price of these 1/18 releases to be around $250 for the A-37 and $300-350 level for the A-4and the F-5, which seems reasonable to me. I'll assess what is being offered, in case the prices came higher. There are some other aircraft I would be crazy to see in 1/18, like the F-4 and F-104, but I am not sure if this ever happens. Maybe they could consider them if the already announced ones make success.
  7. That's what I'd call "real news" Then we can hope the pre-orders may start in 2245, just after the pre-orders of the 1/32 P-38 start in 2240
  8. That's so inspiring work! Great job overall, looking forward to see how the rest comes along!
  9. WOW!! I'm far from calling myself knowledgeable on pistons and props, but the R2800 looks possibly as close as can be to the real thing! Absolutely lovely job!!
  10. Really? Should I (and we all) take that as not a wish but a true and reliable piece of information?
  11. Great project. Tanks would be nice indeed.
  12. And they say there will be new visuals of the Learjet soon. Looking forward to that!
  13. I do not know what it is but I know what it isn't: F-111, F-101, F-102, F-106, Mirage F1, Rafale, F-22 or a new F-4 and stuff like that in 1/32. No excitement for me then...
  14. What a cool Mig-21 version!... and a great build, the camo looks stellar!
  15. I feel the same about bi-planes but that's a great Gladiator! Very niec woek overall and the rigging is really handsome!
  16. Di will be fine with all the newer and colorful schemes, the Ericsson pod and Aim-120s and so on. And the SK too, definitely. But my first choice would be the AJ version, with all that chunky RB04 missiles, maybe because that's kind of a "definitive" Viggen. SF would also be lovely with the relevant pods etc... Any following Viggen would do good, in short
  17. Sad but not surprised. A new Phantom family with today's standars is definitely needed. However, making wishlists is quite appealing but many people unfortunately have no real idea on how much a modern steel mould set costs. If you are manufacturer, you have to sell dozens and dozens of thousands of a kit over a long period of time to start making profit from a kit. The fact that Tamiya 1/32 kits can be found on the shelves still after a few decades is not only due to their design success but because it has to be that way for the company to make profit. Is this a preferred business plan in today's world? Well... I guess why Tamiya and Trumpeter do not seem to be interested in 1/32 kits nowadays says it all. Considering less than half of any price tag going to the manufacturer I do not see it changing in the near future... Unless some very creative people somehow manage to drop the tooling cost to at least one third of what it takes now. I don't mean to crash daydreams but that is the case.
  18. Somehow I had thought it had raised panels. Good then! But still needs a lot of aftermarket stuff, unless Airfix chooses to add them maybe with a new sprue...
  19. The price is not bargain but I don't see such thing as a "cheap" kit in our future, given the inflation and material prices rising globally. If the cottage industry creates some pleasant AM details and add-ons bringing the total cost somewhere around 250 Euros, this could be an opportunity to build a nice big Harrier. And even then there is the raised panel issue... Without the proper AM stuff, I wouldn't go for it.
  20. I don't have too much interest in the propellers, for me the L-39C in plastic sounds good!
  21. Same size/shape/capacity. But the access covers are different and there is a metal reinforcement band all along the mid-section of the tank, holding with an array of bolts.
