Just received my Pre Order confirmation from ZM for the Ki-45 at Telford... I'm hoping that they can deliver, as it would be really nice not to pay for shipping!

Dave J got a reaction from BiggTim in Quality of Tamiya F4U-1A Corsair 1/32 Decals
I was the one that said at there is nothing wrong with Tamiya decals, yes they are a tad thick but that's it... People that complain that they are crap are applying them incorrectly. A while ago I was one of those people...
I don't use any setting or sol agents on them. Just a bit of heat from a hairdryer and cotton bud to roll out the moisture from behind the decal. I have used this method on old and new decals supplied in Tamiya kits.
The only question would be the accuracy of them. I know the Mk.XVI Spitfire had issues with the 485 Sqdn decals.

Dave J got a reaction from Jolly Roger in Tamiya 60325: F4U-1A Corsair
The trick is using heat. Low heat setting on a hairdryer with a moist cotton bud to push the trapped air and conform around details. Works on older kits and new releases.

Dave J got a reaction from Anthony in NZ in Anyone for an RNZAF Skyhawk 'Kahu' panel and HUD?
Kiwi guy #2 received the package from Kiwi guy #3... Kiwi guy #2 has overnighted the Kahu parts to Kiwi guy #1 at lunch...
I had a quick look at the parts before forwarding them on... Man that detail is really nice for it being printed!

Dave J reacted to Talon in Anyone for an RNZAF Skyhawk 'Kahu' panel and HUD?
If Kiwi Guy #1 got the bits back to Kiwi Guy #3 before Friday, who then gave them to Kiwi Guy #5, who Kiwi Guy #3 works for, he could pass them to Kiwi Guy #4, to get some casting done next week. Confused yet?!
Realise it’s not likely in that time frame, but still a possibility for a quick turnaround and cost savings. Just sayin’...

Ok, update...again!
Just had an email saying the parts are printed and ready to ship. Oh my, its a little stressful, having not done this sort of thing before......hope they look good!
Hopefully this little exercise is interesting for those of you, who like me, want stuff done but dont know how to go about it. I have learnt a lot during this process and made some fundamental (expensive) learning mistakes, and lost hope several times along the way.
There is light at the end of the very long tunnel finally!
Cheers
Anthony
