  1. As Bryan stated and I will state now.. Meng was one of the many factories contracted to do tooling for WNW. The Dr.1's was the latest kit they were tooling. That is the WNW tooling not Meng, Iv'e spoken to the designer (Darren) of the Dr.1 kit and that is his work. Also to note.... Meng were not doing the tooling on the Lancaster nor the HP's, these were with other factories.
  2. Fired and redundant are two different things. WNW Staff were not "Fired" they were made redundant. Weta Workshop, Weta Digital and Wingnut are related but they are ran as separate companies. Wingnut & TVAL is outright PJ, but the Weta's are owned by different people with PJ having a share. Nothing official is going to be stated from the company as they do not want bad press regarding a PJ company. This was posted on the WNW Fan Page on Facebook by another member and it sums it quite well - My thoughts on whats going on with the mixed messages on their webs
  3. I am not sure what people require to accept what is being said is the truth? A signed letter from PJ himself or a video message?? Richard has said things are grim. I have spoken to some of the team at WNW and I know what's going on. Yes, they are still going through a process, and It's not good news... Time to start accepting it and not be in denial.
  4. The attack on the original designer is unwarranted IMHO
  5. Sorry @Jennings Heilig you're full of S&#@! You don't know what you're talking about here... That person is one of my best friends as I got him in contact with Neil. Neil needed another designer and my friend was made redundant from his design role and had no income. Yes, he was doing the Freelance work here in NZ. I've seen the CAD work of the Fuselage he was doing, and it looked fantastic. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to survive on just doing the Phantom for HK and had to get another full-time job to pay bills and and keep his head above water. There was no darkness or lame
  6. Got a link to it? I couldn't find it on their website.
  7. Yes Thierry, you are correct it is different, but it does have a Shark Mouth. I just noticed that my first post is missing some text as I posted from my phone. I just edited my post to include what I thought I typed originally.
  8. CAM Decals also have a sheet for it -
  9. Photos are not of the same scheme above, but there was an F-4E that had a Shark Month. Sorry that scheme is incorrect!
  10. Stress skin is shown on the wings during wartime factory images. There was an image published in a magazine that showed this. Wingnut Wings had this image on their booth on display at Telford too.
  11. I thought the stencil face side was normally used facing into the interior of the component and not seen? Are there any photographs showing the stencils on the outer side of the aircraft?
  12. I will be doing a D-Day bird. Not sure what yet!
  13. Should have told me you wanted one Anthony! I would have picked it up in Telford for you. I got one too... No Shipping and Customs Fees
  14. Use boiling water to fix that. Tape the wings leading edge to a steel ruler, boil some water and put the wing in a large container with the water and allow it to cool naturally.
  15. I did mine free hand... Its a pretty easy camo scheme to do actually. Just work with low pressure and build it up. Excuse the old image! I do need to take a better one that isn't hosted on Photobucket!
  16. For those that have read Jereon & Cees review on LSM already, but not in the last 24 hours... They have just updated the original post with more content. Turrets and Bombays are now covered. They are already working on the next lot of info for the update. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/6004-hk-models-132-avro-lancaster-mk1-part-1/
  17. I got the kit and Telford and only looked at last week, and I was thinking the same thing. You would only need a few sprues to make a second one!
  18. I would be interested in a set for the B-24 for sure... Also, there could be a market for larger scale turrets standoff piece.
  19. Oh yes, I will be interested in this... Hoping to pick up a B-24 at the right price, as I know I will be spending more on AM than the kit!
  20. I am sure most of you are in the same position... Trying to finish those last projects for 2018! I just managed to knock this one off a few moments ago that I started back in March. As per normal.. Family life, work and another round of back surgery have keep me busy. Having some free time today, I picked this one up an managed to finish it was it was pretty much weathering that I had to complete. It's my 4th Tank I have ever built. Tamiya's 1/35 Jagdpanzer IV /70 Lang. Built from the box, but I did use Kaizen tracks. Painted using Mission Models Paints, Camo was painted free hand.
