While I agree that the Eduard nose does look droopy, I wouldn't put 100% full faith and credit in the Daco drawings either.

Now, since I want to display the radar on the I dedided to copy the correct shape of the ZM nose and transfer it on the droopy nose from Eduard. Therefore I made a mold with the ZM nose, inserted the Eduard nose and filled the mold up with resin (but just on the outside). Now I have the correct shape and the nice details on the inside from the Eduard nose. voilà!

I just ran across some discussion elsewhere about the subtleties of the shape of the aft fuselage, specifically where the crease between the engine bulges and the upper fuselage is supposed to start (or end).  Pretty much everybody except Dave Roof says the kit is noticeably wrong.

What do you think?

utter nonsense, as most of the naysayers have never seen the kit up close, let alone had one in their possession.

Apart from the fact, that DR ought to know what he's on about....

Based on the photographs I've seen of the kit thus far, I'm not sure it's "utter nonsense".  I'd like to see one in person.

Jennings, can't tell if it's wrong or not, because I am not at home for the next week. I will have a look at what you mean, once I am back at the bench.

I really hope it's right.  It would be a shame if they missed that.

For just once, how about just being happy we have another awesome F4 and enjoy the kit.

Dont mind the discussion of issues but the original poster seems to be making a big deal about it saying the issue is "near impossible" for the modeller to fix and that ZM needs to address it (I assume retool the kit?)

Basically they are saying the "shoulder line" of the kit proceeds too far aft. The only clear discussion with comparison pics I saw was the post below:

Sigh... again? If you don't want to participate in a discussion of the accuracy of the kit, then don't. But don't presume that becuase you have a particular viewpoint, that that is by definition the only valid viewpoint. We go through this EVERY time a new kit comes out, and "It looks like an XYZ to me, so everybody should just be happy" is really, really, REALLY getting old. If you don't want to read this, then don't read it.
