alain11
hi guys thank you all for your comments , be sure it's appreciated !!!!!!!! in France we use to say something like this :" best soups are made in old saucepans " , so I chose the " hard way", namely the old Revell kit , I had resin parts (nose cone , gear bays and cockpit from eagledesign ) that fit to the Revell kit .I first hesitated to use the Italieri kit , but the fuselage diameter is 24 mm at its tip , while the resin cone is 22 mm . I should save time with the Italieri kit , but "grafting " the cone would be ... tricky ( I wonder if I wouldn't have to choose this way after all ) ..... the kit had been engraved , gear legs are from the Italian kit , cockpit is a "mix " of resin , and Italieri ,IP is "homemade" , the seat is from AMS, drop tanks are Italieri , paints are from Gunse , decals from Italieri , the " hornet" badge is hand painted .I used Pebeo satin varnish ( varnish for "artist" oil paints ) for a "sweeter" final result ............................. thanks Alain Edited September 21, 2017 by alain11 Jack, Whitey, Francis and 2 others
