i finally started to put the main parts together.

the seamless intakes were epoxied in

then came the wings with modified attachment points (these interfere with the intakes at the bottom)

mounted at a fixed angle, no more playing around with the sweep of the wings when the lowered flaps are on

and the top and forward fuselage, using glued on locating tabs and lots of tape to secure the parts with minimal gaps.

the fit is actually pretty nice

i had quite a difficult time to get the tail  to sit right on the fuselage and not to have to use filler

Time spent improving the fit of parts always saves double that in filling and sanding!!

fiddling around with small parts. here are the modified pylons, the kit doesnt have the RAF ones

all the main parts are on, as are the fuselage pylons, i think i can start preshading soon

i could actually make the deadline.....

getting ready for preshading and paintig various parts black i realized that there is no depiction of the exhaust outlet in front of the tailplane on the starboard side, so i had to scratch it.

the rubber wing gloves are made out of patafix (like bluetac), the plastic and resin parts are too static imo
