nmayhew Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 All we need now is a decent 1/32 kit to go with the wheels mozart 1
LSP_Ray Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 The Fly ones are not that bad, but we could use a new Mk.I... Iain 1
Chek Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Fly do a Mk I too, although perhaps perversely it only comes in Finnish and tropical boxings. It's also a metal wing rather than a fabric one like the old PCM kit..
phasephantomphixer Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Phew, had me thinking I would hafta toss my 1/32 Hurri stack (Revell, PCM, and Fly) just get the wheels, and wait again...

Gotta disagree Ray, the Fly wheels are way too small and the tyres are way too big. The PCM wheels are OK but in all 3 kits I have they are miscast (gaps in the wheel). Roy says they'll be in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32. Someone asked about 1/24 and he said "maybe later". They're cast from 3D masters so 1/24 shouldn't be far off. Kagemusha 1

I don't think there is an injected plastic kit, and even many resin kits, out there that don't benefit from AM wheels. When a manufacturer, such as Barracuda or Halberds or CMK or Aires or AMS takes the time to do a wheel right with all the correct dimensions, markings, manufacturers logos, etc, it makes a big difference.
