Guest Vincent Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) Painting continues with the base color and the rendering of wear exposing the bare aluminium (hairspray lack method) Fargo Express was a relatively new aircraft and wear should be kept to a realistic amount. This is not a flying trashbin ! Next will be picking out of the details with their corresponding colors Edited May 17, 2019 by Vincent/MDC
MikeMaben Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 New didn't last long in the desert. I'll be doing Fargo Express when I do my MkVIII as well . Red arrows are not mine. Martinnfb and Longbow_06 2

aircare84 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Vincent, What color did you use to paint the seat body? Custom mix, or a available bottle paint? Larry Martinnfb 1

Larry Oil paints over Tamiya Desert yellow. First i used a lighter shade to get the "base" of the resin color then i added a darker shade to simulate the fiber structure. It's a shame that it does not show better on pictures but in reality it looks just like a real Spitfire seat
Guest Vincent Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Well, i had a little disaster with the seat Not wanting to go into painful details but would anyone planning to use the gorgeous Barracuda resin seat would be willing to give me the 3 plastic parts making the seat ?
