dora9
After the easy part, I tackled the rondels! It's a bit of a pain, but the results are worthwile! So that's it for today! Tomorrow the fuselage rondels. Stay tuned! Trak-Tor, Gazzas, Jim Barry and 7 others
dennismcc
Looks great, those early stars look really great. Cheers Dennis dora9
Out2gtcha
Agreed, the end result of the paint and early stars is lovely looking. You just barely snuck by on the width of your spray booth though it looks like! dora9
dora9
Thanks Dennis It is a bit of a pain to aligned them and make sure they are symetrical, but in the end you don't have to fiddle with decal softner! Cheers Uncarina
dora9
You just barely snuck by on the width of your spray booth though it looks like! Agreed with that Brian! Think I'll have to build something bigger! I still have a C-130 in 1/48 to paint! Out2gtcha
1to1scale
I certainly love Montex masks, and you have definitely put them to good use! Your SBD is beautiful! dora9
dora9
I certainly love Montex masks, and you have definitely put them to good use! Your SBD is beautiful! Thanks, at first I wasn't too sure about it, but it turned out amazing! Now decals, a bit of weathering, armament and she'll be finished!
dora9
Just a preview of what's to come! I used decals from the Yellowhammer sheet to complete the model. Peter you can used them in all safety they work just great! I fear the canopy installation with all those sections on top of one another! Probably a bit more wear and tear on the walkways. Sure nothing beats painted rondels! Stay tuned! Daniel Leduc, Guyman1, tucohoward and 6 others

dora9
Thanks Gaz, I'm quite happy with the results but I'm affraid of all that stack up of windows! I really want to have them in the open position. On the bench they do stack themselves quite good but on the model hope it won't be too wide for the fuse! Guest Peterpools
Andre WOW - Beautiful work applying the markings with the masks - perfectly done. Aces on the weathering, looks just right to me. Keep 'em comin Peter
dora9
Thanks Peter It's a bit unnerving at first, you really have to take your time, make sure everything is align and symetrical. The rest, numbers and letters are from the Yellowhammer decal sheet. They really work well!
monthebiff
Wow.....stunning paintwork and those Yellowhammer decals have worked brilliantly! Regards. Andy dora9
dora9
Thanks Andy, I really love the way it came out, I was a bit, not afraid but uncomfortable with all those masks and was really happy with the end result! The Yellowhammer decals went really OK. They are thin but strong and react well with MicroSol. Cheers
dennismcc
That's looking great, just how I image one to look from the B&W photos that I have seen. Cheers Dennis dora9
