guitarlute101
Hi everyone, I was gifted this kit and detail set but I have next to no information on any 109s that would have used the underwing rockets. Could someone point me in the direction of some aircraft profiles that would have used these rockets? I don't want to put the rockets on an aircraft that wouldn't have used them. Thanks in advance,Mark BGB

dodgem37
I'm in Iceland now, on my phone, with not much battery, but! I believe Herman Graf used them. Sincerely, Mark

TBC
Hi everyone, I was gifted this kit and detail set but I have next to no information on any 109s that would have used the underwing rockets. Could someone point me in the direction of some aircraft profiles that would have used these rockets? I don't want to put the rockets on an aircraft that wouldn't have used them. Thanks in advance,Mark Mark, Good choice. I won't address any issues or corrections to the Revell kit and whether or not you should do them - that's a personal choice. There are certainly markings out there to do WGr.21 equipped Bf-109G-6's. One such decal set that comes to mind is EagleCals #37. It has markings for Major Hermann Graf's Green 1 and Alfred Grislawski's White 10 - both of JG50. These aircraft had the 20mm underwing cannon or 21cm rockets interchanged as required by mission. There apparently is debate as to whether Graf's aircraft was Green 1 or Red 1, so EagleCals has included both.colours. There could very well be some other decal sets out there. PM me if you need some pics. Edited April 14, 2017 by TBC BGB, mpk and guitarlute101
Artful69
Well ... what do you know? ... It seems stovepipes were in fashion before the late 50's!! Rog mpk

guitarlute101
Thanks everyone! That was fantastic feedback! And very quick too! I checked out the review in this site and I'll be picking up some aftermarket sets to spruce it up a little and I'll start a build log when I get everything ready. Again, many thanks to all! Mark P
Well, FWIW, Eagle Editions is about to release two new decals sheets for the Bf 109 G-6. One of the subjects is equipped with WGr. 21 rockets. Perhaps a visit to their site would be in order to see what is being offered. HTH Mark Proulx mpk and 109
