D.B. Andrus
Really like what you're doing here, Kevin. Can't wait to see the finished product! Makes me want to do a Japanese bird. Cheers, D.B. Edited July 20, 2018 by D.B. Andrus As usual left something out. LSP_K2

So much in fact, that I'm seriously considering chasing down the Hasegawa Ki-44 now, or dragging out my Ki-84 (not until this one is finished though). D.B. Isar 30/07
Kevin, your work on your George is really impressing me - great start and very interesting progress. Started mine some 3 years before, painted the entire model - and was not satisfied with the result. So, after a few weeks I stripped off all the painting - and lost the interest in this kit. NOW, following your paintwork I´m about to start painting my George for a second try! I´m curious about the following steps on your George! LSP_K2
I discovered quite by accident that the seam on the centerline (to port of the viewing window), isn't supposed to be there, so I've treated it to some surfacer. The panel to starboard is supposed to be there though, so I've re-scribed it and the cross ways seam as well.
LSP_K2
Windscreen area pretty much finished now;... needs just a wee bit of tweaking though, it looks like. JefH and Kagemusha
LSP_K2
Taking no chances with the antenna mast on the tail being busted off (Hasegawa doesn't provide one), I've chopped a small opening in the tail for the aluminum post to be glued solidly into. As soon as I can find my tin snips, I'll be fabricating the mast itself from a soda can lid.
LSP_K2
Having no reason to wait for this, I've also spritzed some Alclad onto the more heavy wear areas of this particular machine.
LSP_K2
And antenna mount now super glued into position. Several more coats of surfacer, some clean-up, and it should be ready to go. (I'm real glad to have the manufacturing of this item behind me now). LSP_Kevin, Out2gtcha, CATCplSlade and 2 others
Out2gtcha
Looks great Kev. Its the tiny things like this that you think are slam dunks and will take just a few moments, end up costing you hairs off the top of your head. LSP_K2
OK, fuselage and tail now touched up again, and looking good enough for the Montex masks and base green addition tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to that.
LSP_K2
A dirty gray wash now splattered onto the inner gear doors (I forgot to do it before).
LSP_K2
A bit premature perhaps, but I felt like playing with decals, so added the bottom meatballs. I'll be using masks topside though. LSP_Kevin, MikeMaben, Gazzas and 1 other
