mpk
Yesterday I decided I needed more practice with Alclad. That I'd hit George with it too fast before learning what I was doing. So I've put George aside for a few days. I may strip it completely. Start over. So after a few practices I decided to try it on a relevant subject. I think I understand it better now. The right PSI, how thick a coat should be etc. Whaddaya reckon, any growth? mark31, Hubert Boillot and tucohoward
Shaka HI
Perfect! Wanna share your technique? Edited February 19, 2017 by Shaka HI mpk
mpk
Perfect! Wanna share your technique? Close eyes and hope for the best? No, I set my compressor to 20. I used Tamiya primer, and sprayed extremely thin coats of Alclad stainless steel using the Iwata. I then used Lifecolor Matt clear to seal the Alclad. Lifecolor is very gentle. It had no ill effect upon the Alclad. I was a bit mad when I originally sprayed the George. I resembled a drunk armed with an airbrush out to act foolishly. At that, I did succeed. mpk
Brain currently in No man's land. feared touching a present work, such as the George or 109's. So to play it safe I did this. I also did the sidewalls but forgot to take photos. The IP is currently having decals by Airscale added. I also used a couple of kit decals when I couldn't figure out what was what. A mistake. The kit decals look cheap by comparison. Shaka HI, Kendzior, tucohoward and 1 other

Work on Shaka the dino and stuff. I should be okay around Friday. Until then I'll show my appreciation for other builds using gifs. mpk
Over the last 2 days this happened. This kit is so great I may try out the metal finish before I tackle the George. I realise I jumped ahead on that one. This is a fun model anyway. So far it's an easier kit than both the Raiden or the George. Great kit this. IP still needs a decal. mpk
Top Job Dale, very, very tidy work sir! Torben Cheers Torben. Thanks mate. Today I have been busy. First I received the old Hasegawa Zero while expecting the new tool version. Then I clipped things with my Xuron. Heard in passing, the above sentence may seem a little odd to those not "in the know". Then I did this. Machine guns currently under construction. This Hasegawa Shoki is really a very nice model. Also a big shout out to Airscale decals. Brilliant. Guyman1, F`s are my favs, mark31 and 6 others
Shaka HI
Wow! Looks fantastic, Dale! The old Hasegawa A6M5 isn't all that bad, TBH. It's still a great kit (and I have one as well)! mpk
