LSP_K2
That's very confusing, but you're certainly right, Kev. The packaging did throw me. Shawn M and Hubert Boillot
Shawn M
lol, I tossed them in there to protect them from scratches or damage. I did start hacking apart a gear bay last night. LSP_K2
Shawn M
gear bay cuts started I started to remove the mould lines on the fuse only to realize there is no easy way to do this with out destroying a LOT of the details around them, looks like this will be my first rescribe of a kit. Shawn M
you're 100% right Max, this really has me bummed out. Im gonna try to find my mojo and knock out a Hobby Craft Sea Fury (aka simple easy no brainer kit) to see how I feel about the tiffy. Azgaron
Good luck with the rescribing! Still in "practice" mode, but go slow is my advice! HÃ¥kan Shawn M
Shawn M
found some bits from the Sea Fury I can use on the Tiffy. Namely the tail wheel, pilots retractable step and some cockpit details. Will save me some time on those items.
Bill_S
Lol, I've never done a rescribe and this was supposed to be an easy build. I'll man up eventually Start on the wings, Shawn - they're relatively flat and easy to do. The tough ones are usually the verticals on the fuselage, but it's really not that bad. Shawn M
Thanks Bill, once I get the gear bays done up I can assemble the wings and start there. I agree they look pretty straight forward.
Dpgsbody55
I don't know if you're going to show the engine on this, but if you are, it should be painted dark green. I took a few photo's of Napier Sabre engines when I was in England last year and these are painted green. With a little work, the kit engine comes up quite well. Guest Peterpools
Shawn Geez, all that rescribing is going to take a bit of time. Scribing is easily my weakest and least liked part of any build Keep 'em coming Peter
