GrahamF
Just thought I would post a few pictures of the progress of our forthcoming RAF bomb trolley and Upkeep mine prototype parts machining. Luckily while producing this I found a real example of the very bomb trolley at East Keal in an unrestored state which I guess they are going to use to display their Upkeep mine on next to 'Jane'. This is the side of the Upkeep mine being CNC machined with a 1mm diameter flat end mill with 0.1mm overlap this results in a very smooth component that is paint ready. The major components next to a pound coin to give an idea of scale [ the squares on the cutting mat are 10mm ] The quite complex rear axle housing that had me scratching my head while measuring up the real thing. The main wheels I went to town on the hub detail both inside and out Graham HL-10, BiggTim, Artful69 and 10 others

Artful69
Very nice! ... I take it that this would be part of some sort of conversion set for the forthcoming HK Lancaster?? Rog
GrahamF
Hi Rog, Yes that's the plan,a separate conversion kit will be produced once the HK Lanc arrives. Graham Kagemusha and Artful69

Chek
Just had a crazy thought of 617 Sqn. commissioning a 1/32 model of one of their Lancasters (their choice) passing over a 1/32 section of Möhne dam with the Upkeep mine skipping along merrily behind, at whatever size it tales to encompass all three elements (Dam, plane, bomb). LSP_Ray
That is amazing! But...*cough* Attacker *cough*.
GrahamF
The Attacker is still on its way but I'm trying to build up a range of smaller items as the big kits take a long time and seem to run out of interest after about 50 orders. Tony T
Best of luck with the Upkeep set. It's nice to see British stuff getting so much quality attention. Tony
thierry laurent
Excellent idea as WW2 Brit air base accessories are not common to say the least. Many companies released such items in the smaller scales but we still are the poor people regarding this...
