I have the standard issue of this kit, and it's really quite excellent, but I hear the platinum version is just that much better. I wanted the Platinum version of this kit since I had heard such great things about Revell's Platinum kits, particularly their ships... it took a while to find one but upon opening the box I see why they are so highly recommended... gonna be a blast building it and its huge! It is large indeed, and is one of the reasons I love it, lots of room for additional "stuff".
