Great idea with the real wood strips. Will there be an authentic piece of history on this dio when you are done? U-boat emblem or instrument face, etc?

J

Hi Jerry,

Thnx.

There will definately be an artifact adorning this model.

Eralier this topic you can see the Ampere meter I bought,

but that turned out to be a bit larger than expected :BANGHEAD2:

I'm trying to buy a data plate right now. Should fit just fine.

Maybe a cap U-boot sign.

I'm going full speed now and will post some pics of the figures soon.

Cheers,

Jeroen

Here's a pic from the other side.

Wood's almost ready. Should blend in a little more

after a wash.

Tomorrow I'll head up to Hoboken / Antwerp for the modelshow.

Hope to get a lot of inspiration!

Cheers,

Jeroen

That's a beautifully executed figure Jeroen!

Hi Kev,

It's not finished yet! Still needs detail in the face, facial hair and a blue hat.

There's a total of 5 figures in this kit, but they are all in about the same stage.

Cheers,

Jeroen

Hello Jeroen.

Nice UP.

I like the wooden planks. With a little weathering, (or heavy... :D ) it will be nice.

Great start on the crew.(painted it with oils?)

Like the Cat !!

Mines (6..... ) are not authorized in the modelling room (Garage)

Cheers,

Jamme

I went to the modeling show in Hoboken / Belgium today and returned with tons of inspiration!

Upstairs in my modeling room, the tower is prepped / masked for paint.

Downstairs in the living room I do a lot of cutting, sanding and glueing. There the S100 is growing even larger!

This definately is the biggest model I've ever made!

Saw the Wingscale B25 today up close and personal, but even that kit has got nothing on this beast!

Cheers,

Jeroen

Hi Jamme,

I'm using Humbrol, Tamiya, Mr. Hobby, Gunze, etc.. for the figures. Also some oils, but only for washes.

We have two cats with a healthy sense of curiousity. Since I do a lot of modeling in the living room, they are ususally present.

The only thing not safe from them, are Q-tips! All other items are left alone.

BTW: did you visit Hoboken today??

Cheers,

Jeroen

So, there I was, following your Sopwith Pup build with deep fascination and wondered where you'd got to ... and then I found this thread! Is there NOTHING you can't turn your hand and skills to???

I just love following your work, it's fantastically inspiring and I think the way you enhance your work with plaques, gauges, serial number plates is terrific.

So, here we go again, another topic to bookmark (and, it looks like another one in terms of the S-100 as well) !!

Keep it up -
