NE Resin seamless intake for F-8e crusader

So this is where I am at on my crusade. I have gone through a few prints so far and I am not happy with the shape,I have some issues I need to work out and fusion is not playing ball with me .At this point I just need to take a step back .

A few of you have asked for a copy of my prints I have not taken anyone's payment yet and I hope you can understand my frustration. I won't send anything out tell I have it right and I feel comfortable with it.

Thanks. I hope you can finetune the shape. The panel lines are a bit wide in the current design. Would be great if you at some point also work on a F-8C conversion like the Fisher set.

The panel lines are about.012 think . I do have plans to do the F-8C in the future but I'll need to get a vacuum form machine to do the windscreen.

Yes, this is looking awfully nice! Hope you work out any “issues” and get it to market. I’m particularly pleased to see that your nose corrects some of the accuracy issues with the Trumpeter nose. Good to see the Crusader getting some love….

Wow this great news, very interested.

 

Note that the E and J versions had a slight teardrop bulge behind the nosecone, which the Trumpeter kit doesn’t have. Would be awesome if your set includes this, have a look at this thread:

You could also just market that as an F-8D/H nose, no need for the windscreen without IR sensor in that case. I want to also build a VF-111 F-8H, I’d buy the nose for sure.

Hate to be a pest about this, but I hope this F-8 seamless intake has not been abandoned. 

Is there any progress to report? Please don’t tell us that you have totally given up on it!
