Well Done Old Boy!

Happy Birthday Gary Hope you got some bench time.

I was appalled at the media and speculation about her.  It seemed they lacked the most basic insight into the fact that the media had such a large part to play in the death of that man's mother.  Yet decades later, here they are again.

Met the Queen and Prince Philip briefly when I was young. Not much into the Royals, any of the drama but always admired Queen Elizabeth and her devotion to duty.  I can't recall many statesmen/women in the world in the last 70yrs who so consistently did a good job for their country. 

A young mum with kids and cancer.  I hope she gets better and left the hell alone to heal.

Recent babble about Kate's 'doctored' family photograph and infantile twaddle following a videoed 'sighting' of Kate in Windsor shrink to uncomfortable silence after the Princess of Wales spoke of her ailment. Not many cancer patients have done that. I hope Kate's moving piece to camera reminds us of what dignified adult conduct looks like, sounds like and feels like. 

Oh, that's easy Scott. Just buy the kits one sprue at a time off ebay and tell her its supplies!

Had a nice woodsy walk in Arcadia with the hound, and a good seafood supper! Now back down to the bench and continue on the 1/48 SR71. ( new tool Revel kit with all the add-ons )

Sorry to hear that Ron, our thoughts and hearts go out to you and your family.

I am in the U.S. and have frankly been disgusted that the media won't give her and her family some privacy.  As she is neither the king nor the queen and has no official government duties and until such thing should come about, I have felt very much that the whole coverage is just awful.  I do wish her and her family the best.

I feel the same way about anyone having to fight cancer. I would not wish it on HRH nor anyone. At the end of the day we are all human.

Thank you everyone!  Was a great birthday.  Stayed home from work.  Ate too much.  Drank too much.  Steak dinner with cake afterwards.  And got some cool loot.

What happens if the spreadsheet is the victim of a drive crash or other catastrophe? 
 
I've been using simple Post-it notes for at least 20 years to identify the aftermarket items that are store inside the kit boxes. I need only look at the kit box to know what it contains - all of that information is in one place. 
 
Relevant to this thread's topic, ANYONE looking at my kit boxes has instant access to lists of exactly what's inside each box, so heirs would have an easy time selling the stuff if they should so choose to do so. 
 
The only question posed about doing this so far has been "Won't they fall off eventually?" No. I've never had one fall off unless it was knocked off, and some of those Post-its have been in place for more than 2 decades.

Interesting question re: finances and choices. My purchasing choices seem as random as my thought process, which is not good at all, and I seldom load up on AM for the item, and for two reasons; money issues, and the question of when, if ever, I’ll actually get to that specific project. So basically, I buy the kit, throw it in with the already stupidly large stash, then chase down AM whenever I’m actually prepared to start on it.

Yep, I always put the extras in the kit box. No spreadsheet, I don't have the computer skills for that.

Agreed.   Despite how one might feel about the Royals, she seems like a classy lady and she is way, way too young to have to fight this horrific disease.
