    Just hot from the bench!
Undercarriage finished! I kept it simple and only added the break lines.

Not much of an update so far as work has been quite busy.
I did, however, manage to finish the gun. I decided not to add further detail after opening up the vents apart from some decals from spares to represent placards. Not accurate of course but at least they do make the area look busy.

I also managed to finish loading the pylons with all the weapons.
I gave up on the Isracast Pythons as I had difficulties assembling them and they drove me insane!
At the end, I just used the kit's AIM-9L missiles.

That's all for now! Thanks for checking!

Ok guys! Just a short update for now. Following F's advice and links he sent me I decided to follow his method and hollow out the vents instead of painting them.
I initially scraped the plastic square until it became transparent and I could see the light through the vents.

After some vigorous sanding I got the desired result! Pretty pleased with it! Thanks F!!!!

    Small update today.
Added the crystal HUD on the coaming. I decided to paint only the sides with transparent green rather than the whole part. I think it looks more realistic but I'm open to discussion!

Need to clean up the edges a bit...

I decided to detail the rear gun bay area based on a pic shared by Fs are my Favourites! Thanks F!!!
First of, gluing the front shroud. A nasty surprise there...

Tamiya depicts the gun bay gas vent as a solid mesh on top and a solid square at the bottom. I decided to paint the bottom part to give the illusion of a mesh. I used thin strips of masking tape and followed the top side's grid to form a grid on the bottom.

    More detailing to follow!

Hi all! While the F-15I build is still going on I would like to present you my previous work.
First off, Trumpeter's lovely Su-25A kit! I loved it at every step for its ease of build despite its size, its details and overall engineering!
It's an almost OOB built with the addtion of Fisher Models' FOD covers and Zactomodels' outer wing pylons (only negative aspect of the kit as they are missing...)
I used a combination of Mr Paint colours for the cockpit and undercarriage, Alclad for the engines and Lifecolor acrylic colours for the camo!
Also, I tried out Mig Ammo and AK Interactive weathering products for the first time. Quite happy with them although I could have gone heavier.
    Hope you like it!!!

The metalizer is the first coat. Then i mix aside, in a small pan, "quite" diluted Revell enamel black mat. Soaking a big brush in it for a while, then brushing the ring while in the meantime rotating it with fingers. The fingers become dirty but i wash them immediately after that. All this is for the darker shades. There is also bluish and reddish nuances - both Alclad hot metals paints. And basically the same thing, but even less paint. It turned out that these blueish and reddish nuances are basically not noticeable.
Btw these rings are not prepped yet - they will be weathered together with the final weathering of the plane.

F, those cans look wonderful!!! I can see a subtle weathering on the metal rings before the petals. How did you do these?

    Finished this afternoon-Italeri 1/32 Mirage IIIC/CJ of the 101st Tayeset of Ha'Avir

I don't know much about this particular jet although it has 10 kills but I have been recently informed that it ended up with 12-13 before it was sold to Argentina.  It has now been re-acquired by the Israeli AF for a museum with the kill markings still under the Argie paintwork.  I read that there is some conjecture as to whether the black and yellow Id markings were or were not applied at some stage prior to being sold.  I have also read that it started life as serial 159 and ended up with serial 459 just before it was sold.

Besides an IP courtesy of Eric (Thanks again) this was built OOB except instead of doing the early NMF scheme I decided to camo it and add the yellow and black triangles which if you weren't aware were painted on so it was easier to id as Israeli and not a Syrian Mirage flying out of Egypt, whose scheme was very similar.

That`s it man! Now it requires just some brushing with a stiff brush. With long hairs should be better if you have one. Or else, try with a toothbrush or with another brush - the harder the better, but soft enough to avoid breaking the grits. The small chips will loosen and the view should become clearer.
PS: the tiny little chips are not for underestimating. They may look noticeable only on a photo, but after priming/painting may become visible.
