  1. Glad to hear it, Bob! Shame about the fall- how's the sidewalk doing? Okay I hope!
  2. Film scores- John Williams, Elmer Bernstein and so forth. I don't go for anything talky while I'm concentrating on models or art, except for well-narrated audio books.
  3. WOW! Did you use a spray gun?
  4. Glad you're okay, Chuck! Bummer about the trip, but at least you're still retired. The bay looks great, and I've found that a toothpick can be a great paint applicator to tiny details and things in tight spaces, but I'm willing to bet you already know that.
  5. Floatplanes are my weakness- this is almost too much to bear! I'm wondering if that sheet elevator extension was added to provide more elevator authority, or as a trimming surface.
  6. Ace work indeed, Sasha- cheers! I never realized how tiny these planes were- might have to get a kit of my own.
  7. Thanks, everyone! For my birthday I've gotten my Medicare card- the US version of healthcare for senior citizens- whoopee!
  8. Speedball calligraphy pen nibs are great for laying down masking fluid, and perhaps pinpoint application of chipping fluid (I haven't tried that yet). https://www.johnnealbooks.com/product/speedball-c-calligraphy-nibs
  9. Welcome back, Chuck! Glad tp hear the home renno is all done- I feel your pain! I've got a stalled project in my studio/shop- getting the glass doors to my four display cabinets. You have the doors exactly as I've envisioned them. The Glass shop we've worked with before really dropped the ball -for months- finally admitting that they didn't usually do that/didn't want to do it. That's island life, I guess. I want similar lighting, but with a solid strip to shield the eyes from the LED strips. I also want a white panel at the rear, which was unavailable from the cabinet shop. If it's not too pricey I'd like to get locks for the doors to satisfy my paranoia.
  10. I second the Liquin Original. Note how a bit breaks up the clumps of pigment, resulting a smooth, buttery wash.
  11. I suggest Mr Color Replenishing Agent. https://www.air-craft.net/acatalog/Mr-Color-Replenishing-Agent-250ml-T-115.html I've restored almost dried bottles of Mr Surfacer with this magical juice.
  12. Well they are listing the Kingfisher- hope this gets sorted out!
  13. Glad you and your family are okay and safe. The world has gone absolutely mad!
  14. Peter, you're making me want to buy the kit just so I can get your aftermarket parts, you devil, you!
  15. Just what I was looking for- thanks. Just snagged one on the 'bay.
