The R2D2 antenna certainly does exist in 1/32.  It’s part of the Isradecal F-15I conversion, and I think it used to be available separately too.

I definitely concour with Thierry that the Wingleader and Valiant books just behind. I would suggest if you know the subject you are going to build you only need 1 of the Wingleader books and worth thinking about the Valiant book also.

The Wingleader ones are the best available from a modelling perspective. Then the Valiant ones are right behind. I have at least thirty Lancaster books but all other ones are far behind from that view.

Did not know he was affiliated with this product.  bought some sheets at the IPMS region 12 contest this past weekend.   IF anyone has instructions they would kindly share or know where I can download them I would appreciate the info.

I bought both early and late F-4 stencil set in 1/48, and the 1/72 Airfix Vulcan set.

I am sure I can figure out the F-4 stuff if I have to with all of the reference material I have, but instructions would be much easier.

If anyone can help please PM me or email me:  garyhatherly@gmail.com

    Thx

The instructions are what separates Fundekals from the rest of the pack (except maybe Aviology).   They are really mini-reference booklets.    I've got a PDF of the Wolfpack F-4C set somewhere on my hard drive, it shows the locations of the hundred or so underside stencils, let me know if you need it.

The question of what, exactly, constitutes a large scale plane for the purposes of our website and forums comes up quite regularly, so let's spell it out here so that it's clear and unambiguous for all our members and guests.

First, the conceptual bit: for the purposes of the LSP website and forums, a large scale plane is defined by its adherence to one of a set of modelling scales, and not by its physical size or dimensions. These latter considerations are in fact completely irrelevant.

Now, the actually definition: for the purposes of the LSP website and forums, a large scale plane is defined as an aircraft or helicopter kit, 1/35 scale or larger.

There are of course grey areas (Monogram's 1/40 Skyraider kit for one example, or missile and spacecraft kits for another), and we generally tackle those on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the question at hand.

I hope this helps clarify the issue for those of you who might have been wondering!

Well...speaking as a model designer who worked with model companies from Asia, model manufacturers are constantly baffled by the fact that no matter what they do, it is "wrong" and "not the stuff we wanted". Other types of models in any other scales are met with pleasure and sometimes even joy. New models in scale 1/32 are constantly attacked. I do not know what it is that makes people (who are supposedly "into LSP") complain so much about new releases, but that kind of feedback filters back to the boardroom. There comes a point where a manufacturer decides that it is no longer worth their time, effort and expense. The first to abandon 1/32 were Trumpeter, who continue to be just as prolific in other scales and types of models. I know of one other manufacturer that decided to stop doing 1/32 and I was told by the boss of the company that the reason was the constant "bad feedback" about new releases. I was told that in 2019 and so far it seems that he was not exaggerating.
We need to support manufacturers. You don't like what they do? Fine! Keep that to yourself, no one cares.

I don't feel like I'm getting the hang of this weathering thing at all. I wish I had practiced on something smaller and less expensive. It's oils so anything can be removed and redone. What do you guys think of this? I tried to mostly dirty up the walkways and high traffic areas. I also think that a clear coat will help blend things a little more.

Having subbed in as a judge in many a US IPMS events in different states, I conquere that this is unfortunately accurate.
Based on the normal IPMS judging criteria set out by most hosting US IPMS chapters, it's all about having all the points at first, then taking away points from there for seams, non-level wings/empannage,  non-straight wheels ect, ect, non of it having anything to do with accuracy for the model, or even level of detail. Once in a while you get a judge who will recognize great/extra detail, but generally nothing is ever taken away points wise for something like having the wrong IP for a certain version ect.
It's kind of a shame in a lot of ways but that is how it goes.
