Bill_S got a reaction from Martinnfb in A question about my Future
I've had a number of instances where I've had to strip Future, then re-dip. I dunk it in household ammonia for a couple of seconds, then rinse well. I'd give the old bottle a go before I bought new stuff. BTW, what does a bottle of Future look like these days?

Well......that's a great question. And I don't have a good answer.
The biggest parts that I have printed were the wings on my F-16xl. They were quite rough. My little, cheap, printer doesn't produce a very smooth surface so I start by sanding the surface with 100 grit sandpaper. Then I apply some heavy primer and repeated this cycle until it gets smooth enough. What is smooth enough? It's smooth enough when you get tired of sanding.
On my F-16 I glued on a thin sheet of plastic to the top of the wing. This worked the best.
If there is some better method to smooth out the prints I am all ears.

While racers aren't my cup of tea, I'd be on board for a Skyraider. Best of luck to you, Shane - Paul's stuff is too nice to be lost forever.

I didn't think it would be an LSP. At my LHS, the military models section has shrunk to 1/5th of what it was a year and a half ago. Downright depressing.

Bill_S reacted to mpk in Something to raise a smile - What’s your reason to be cheerful?
My reason to be cheerful is this. It looks like I won't have my foot amputated. Such a relief. One more operation in 3 weeks and it should be sweet.

Is that why I start so many kits? So I don't get accused of being a collector?

Bill_S reacted to Oldbaldguy in I buy way too many kits
I try to avoid acquiring more kits than I can ever build by rearranging my stash every now and then so that it looks like I have new stuff. So far this hasn't worked all that well.

Bill_S reacted to LSP_Kevin in I buy way too many kits
Well, out of the 350 unbuilt kits in my stash, I really want to build about 600 of them.
