  1. Jeepers! This is pretty to watch. Very nice job so far Andi. The amount of weathering looks just about perfect to my eyes. Who cares if it is n't prototypical? It looks superb. Keep it up. Cheers.
  2. I can only echo what everyone else has said Fab. Beautifully crisp, sharp work. Inspirational.
  3. Good effort so far Carl Do you use a particular method for cutting this micro-tubing? I roll it under a blade but that tends to close the opening a little. Re-opening the hole is tricky when the diameters get down to 0.3mm Just wondered how you do it. Cheers, Guy
  4. Nice progress Don, she's looking sharp. Are the stencils Japanese text? It's a little hard to tell on my monitor but the close up image of the horizontal stabilator that you shared appeared to show Japanese characters....? I've seen a few pics on-line of theses aggressors and some look nice and dirty. Any thoughts on how beaten up you'll make yours? Cheers, Guy
  5. Glad you got back to this one Eric. The oil staining looks very convincing to me, nice job. Thanks for the tip on using thin decal material, nice one. I like the wood effect you've created. Can't wait to see her all rigged up and finished. Good job.
  6. You're off to a promising start Kevin. With that reference book to refer to you can't go far wrong. I look forward to seeing how this build unfolds. Cheers, Guy
  7. Hi Jeff, I look forward to seeing how you tackle this one. Keep up the good work.
  8. Excellent paintwork viva. The amount of weathering looks very realistic. Keep it up.
  9. Hello Onesendai, I believe that is the thread that MARU5137 linked to HTH
  10. Wolf, I can only repeat what everyone else has said. Marvellous job, well done. Guy
  11. Hi Peter, I think Citadel is found in Games Workshop stores. Do you have one near you? HTH Guy
  12. Hi Paul, Not sure if this is what you're looking for but I did a short step-by-step over on Britmodeller when I built a 1/48th scale Spitfire recently http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234952958-48th-scale-tamiya-spit-another-take/?hl=spitfire I used the salt technique to create wear, on the wing roots predominantly. If you are seeking more to do with the weathering aspect I think you should look for articles by Chuck Sawyer over on ARC. He is a big fan of this technique, uses it often and has written a very detailled step-by-step that you might find very interesting. HTH Cheers, Guy
  13. Thanks dutik. I'm a bit confused by the exhaust stacks in your link. They differ from those in the earlier link provided by another member. Will this new kit by Revell have the 2x3 exhausts (early marques) or the 1x6 versions(like those on a MkIX)? Cheers, Guy
  14. Crikey! Those are astonishing Chris Ah yes, Tomcat........I remember working on one of those once upon a year Great stuff as usual Zacto. Cheers, Guy
  15. Hello Bodo, Thank you for the link. The set looks very crisp and will enhance any A-10. Good job. cheers. Guy
  16. Hi Dave, Here's another alternative: http://www.scalehardware.com/ I found this manufacturer from our own Pete Fleischmann who posted a link in one of his build threads. They have a range of fittings in minute scale. Perhaps you could see if there is anything suitable. Not the cheapest option but superbly crafted. HTH Guy
  17. Stupendous work Peter. Photographed under natural lighting with a realistic backdrop and this one will be indistinguishable from the real thing. I for one can't wait to see the new Airfix Tiffie with the Airscale treatment. Keep it up, you're nearly home on this one.
  18. Neat work Eric. I have the Revell offering of this kit in the stash so it's alays interesting to see one come together. Keep at it. Cheers.
  19. A fine example Urs. Thanks for sharing her with us.
  20. This was an ambitious project but it turned out beautifully. I wonder if Airfix were inspired by your efforts for their upcoming Typhoon? I'm a big fan of this technique so two thumbs way, way up from me Good job Kels, well done.
  21. Neat, clean build Bob, good job. You can never have too many Eagles. p.s, not sure the antenna fit is quite correct under the nose but I stand to be corrected.
