Alburymodeler
Tha fabric on all the Tamiya kits (Spitfire, Mustang, Corsair) is a bit over done for sure (Revell Spitfire is better in this regard). But, yes, the Corsairs up until the -5 had fabric covered wings, and possibly some of the late -4s were metal covered (brain fade) mpk and D Bellis
Joel_W
Martin, Good catch. The -Ds had have metal wing fabrication as your latest pictures show. I'm wondering if Tamiya will make the correction for the final release set of molds. In any event, I'm still in for 1, but most likely 2 as I also want a RN -4. Tony T
Glad for the Corsair (1) fans and an interesting development - now it means that anything goes. So Mr Tamiya, please do an NF Mossie boxing (which similarly would only require a single sprue of new bits) next, including all three nose types. Your tooling chaps can then gear up for a Beaufighter. Tony Alburymodeler, David66 and mpk
