Holy smoke, Pete- you're doing Steve's long hours of hard work and skill the treatment it deserves!  The wooden floor transforms that chamber- wow!  I think I will tell Roy just so he can brag about how good his decals look in the right hands. ;)

Thanks Chuck, but you’d better tell Alexander at Uschi Van Der Rosten, ‘cause these are his wood grain decals:rolleyes:

Pete!!!!   This is Sierra Hotel!  What kit did this start out as?  Beaufighters are awesome!

What you have done so far looks like the real deal, and that is an understatement.

Thanks Jay-

this is the old Revell Beaufighter..the only game in town in 1/32nd..but the Model Monkey cockpit and rear observers station for this kit are relatively new and super cool.

They also have a thimble nose for the Mk VII radar and dihedral tail planes that I’ll be using- equally awesome…

cheers

So grey and green scheme?  She gunna have a name?

yep! All I know so far is the standard RAF grey/green as delivered and the Thimble nose. I’ve seen one photo only with a similar USAAF Beau with a black underside- still undecided on that
