Rod Bettencourt
Having seen many of these aircraft in action and up close you did a great job! Thanks for sharing. Rod Stokey Pete

Stokey Pete
Thank you all for the kind words. Technically, it’s still not ‘finished’ until I replace the wooden block base for a nice and clear acrylic block. All of my models are the same at the moment. Making use of what materials I have lying around temporarily.

Confusionreigns178
That digital camo looks incredible. Even with pre-cut masks, it must have taken ages to apply! Thanks for sharing with us. Cheers. Chris. Stokey Pete

I only did basic plastic prep’ of a wet sand with 12000 polishing cloths, and a wipe down with Tamyia thinner. The MRP colours were a dream to spray on, the masks are amazing. Although care needs taking, they’re quite fragile when removing from the backing, and I learnt the hard way that they’re a bit too high tack. I did have some paint peel to repair later down the line. All told, I’d guess that I spent a week or so applying paint to the point I was happy to begin weathering.
Confusionreigns178
Thanks for the reply, Stokey Pete. I've seen this and your Greek F-16 Zeus display team build - both absolute show-stoppers! I'd be delighted to have even half your skills. Chris. Stokey Pete
Jack
"screw" any "stickler" for accuracy (what i hate anyhow, because killing the enjoyment of building......) this Flanker is looking awesome, it's a great display, an enjoyment to look at...... Gerhard
Stunning build, I echo Jack sentiment above. Stokey Pete
themongoose
Oh I’m so envious! What a beautiful build you have there. Going to be awesome in flight display! That engine paint work is sublime (i thought that was a cool word for that psychedelic overheated metal finish you did)! Stokey Pete
