He has not posted anything since 2011, and has not logged onto the site in 4 years. I have a feeling something bad happened to him, or he simply got out of the hobby entirely. I remember he had a name change, can't remember what it was, hope he's well, seemed like a nice fella. Out2gtcha 1
CANicoll Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Brian, just gorgeous, as well as the photography. Wow!! Chris Out2gtcha 1
Out2gtcha Posted January 13, 2021 Author Posted January 13, 2021 Thanks gents! Ive tried to contact Fred who I built DB for to see if it was still around, but alas I have not been able to get in touch, and he has not logged onto LSP in over 4 years.
Greg W Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 Wow Brian, awesome! The polished foil looks perfect, hell of of job on this! Out2gtcha 1
Martin Kubis Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Very nice project and extremely well executed foiling...like the real thing...Well done! Out2gtcha 1
Neo Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Knowing this was the hasegawa kit, imagine what you could do with a tamiya kit! Out2gtcha 1
The Dude Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Looks great! You got it spot on of the 1/1 scale! I do find it funny that the millionaire friend wouldn't spend the money on an awesome replica of his plane, I guess that's how he became a millionaire lol. Heck $400 probably is how much filling up that plane halfway with fuel would be. Out2gtcha 1

scimitarf1 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 That is an amazing build - really impressive. I have to try foiling at some point. Will Out2gtcha 1
Greif8 Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Master class level of work Brian. I agree that $400 for the commission is at the low end given the amount of work involved and the quality of the finished product. Ernest Out2gtcha 1
