Kagemusha
That's weird, I saw one fly into Manchester a couple of days ago, diverted from Hahn due to fog, not the same aircraft, even at dusk it was an impressive sight.

Old Dog
Total failure of the fan disk, not just a lost blade, everything ahead of the fixed stater vanes disintegrated, pieces blew clear through the fuselage and out the other side, shrapnel severed electrical cables cutting power to the instruments, wing spoilers, and braking systems, the reason for the over run. Very fortunate that no one was injured.
alaninaustria
Superior job from the crew... an un-contained separation of the forward N1 fan is a bad day... good job guys! Cheers Alan Troy Molitor
Confusionreigns178
Certainly something you don't see everyday. I'm glad to hear that no-one onboard was injured. How many '124's do they have? I thought I was a youtube video saying it was 8 (or so my very hazy memory is saying). Chris.
