spacewolf
I'm looking to build a BF-109 E3... which kit is the better one to do needing the least aftermarket ? Thanks BiggTim
BiggTim
Man, that is the MOST loaded question ever!! LSP Ray did an awesome comparison thread a few years back that did a pretty good job of answering it, if you can find it. For my 2 cents, stay away from the Hasegawa Emils, they have some serious accuracy issues. I built a Trumpeter Emil and really found it nice, but I think the Eduard one and the Cyber Hobby one are considered the most accurate so far. See if you can find that thread by Ray... CATCplSlade
The Dragon/Cyber Hobby is really good, but forgo some of the detail for the engine if you aren't going to display it open--some of the parts keep the cowling from sitting correctly. spacewolf and BiggTim

Iain
I'm actually a big fan of the Eduard kits - with a few minor mods I think they capture the look of the 109E extremely well. But I have to admit I have another 7 in the stash to build, so I'm unlikely to want to add a Dragon Cyberhobby kit. chrish
Just my $0.2c worth, when building the Dragon Cyberhobby 109 E, thin the inside of the cowling above the guns/behind the engine. I found it fouled on the guns and prohibited a clean fit. (The only issue I had with my kit) I scraped it thinner with a curved hobby blade in a couple of places (right above the gun breeches) and it dropped into place perfectly...pics if you want to see what I mean. Enjoy the kit, it's a gooder! Kagemusha, coogrfan, Uncarina and 3 others
