JRutman Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 Brian Jim and Harv, Thanks as always fellas for checking in with me here. Nice to read the comments. Here is the next pair. The lady is a MB Luftwaffe helferin re-posed a bit with the arms being moved and then undercut while the guy is Tamiya, all stock but once again re-posed arms. This fig has one of the best representations of a Wehrmacht uniform as far as seems and details goes that I have ever seen even including resin figs. It even has the "hangers" molded on and quite well that the troops were given that fit inside metal grommets in the uniform jackets. There were 2 in front and 2 in back. These were used to carry the weight of the equipment belt and thus distributed the load over the whole jacket. Very handy. I gave him an aftermarket wine bottle to enjoy with the lady. He looks like it may not be the first one ! LoL In this back view you can tell a lot more. The lady has a very nice uh........tailered uniform. Heheh Took some dremel work to get certain curves to "pop" J Rdrunner, ShelbyGT500, BGB and 1 other 4
BGB Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Chavdar and Bois, Thanks again for checking in and for the nice comments guys, whatevr you want to know, just ask buddy. I have no secrets. Who does these days ? LoL Here are the next two truck riders. The bending guy is Miniart with a small arm re-pose and the other is stock Tamiya, same thing with him although they have both been undercut a lot. Masterbox guy. I have changed some colors I use for the flesh areas and am more satisfied now with that. Tamiya guy. He looks great and has a nice pose and the face is quite good I think, for plastic. Their place in the universe. Thanks guys, J Hello Jerry, HaHa! These two are Fantastic the Jester and the old Grump !!Have seen that more than one time in real life. Cheers Boris JohnW and JRutman 2
JRutman Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Thanks Boris,I like those guys as well. Pretty good for out of the box with just a little re-posing. Nice faces. J

Mark M Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 this is truly a masterclass, thank you so much for doing this - bookmarked!!
dodgem37 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Every picture tells a story, don't it? Really nice, Jerry. Not only do you have an eye and mind for character building and painting technique, but also an eye and mind to tell a story with each individual. Bravo! Good on you, brother. Sincerely, Mark BGB 1
JRutman Posted October 4, 2016 Author Posted October 4, 2016 Chavdar,I see that we agree ! Thanks Mark M,thanks for following the blog-I appreciate it buddy. Mark, thanks,I am vey happy you like it and "get" what I am trying to accomplish here in my fumbling manner. You guys don't know this group but I put these together at the beginning of this and now have finally painted them. Family group with the boy from Prieser with a Hornet head a re-posing,undercutting,the mother from Preiser with the head re-posed and also the hand and the daughter from MB with a lot of re-posing and added putty, etc. The mom is holding onto one of the canvas roof formers in the truck. Thanks for looking in fellas. J Shawn M, Rdrunner, ShelbyGT500 and 2 others 5
JRutman Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 Finished figures 30 and 31 last night. Here is the officer fig. This is unusual for me as I rarely build officers. My experience in the military made me realize how little they have to do with everyday life in the service so I generally show NCOs as the leaders in my dios, etc. This guy is a young Luftwaffe Lt in a flak unit. He is a Dragon fig with a Hornet head and re-posed,undercut,etc. His pose will make a lot more sense when you see how he is placed. The next up will be a fig I haven't started on at all as I just decided to use it. I will,in my own inadequate way, try to walk you through the process to get it to what I want to show. Here is the start point. A preiser fig from the older and not as nice set of after the war figs. Still,it has good proportions. Rdrunner, ShelbyGT500 and Jeff 3
JRutman Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 OK,not much interest generated by my offer at showing the re-pose process. I guess I will leave you at the 31 fig done count (including the three in the trucks' cab). J Jeff, Shaka HI, Zero77 and 5 others 8
ShelbyGT500 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Oh no Mr. Rutman, your topic is one of my favorite, bookmarked and most visited by myself Those little fellows at last photo that you post, are very much like an small citizens, get rest on your bench So much work, for so short time to give an real live-look, this make you the "G" Master of puppets/figures at 35 scale With all of my respect  Chavdar JRutman 1
ClumsyDude Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 That collection would take me YEARS. And it still wouldn't be half as good. Awesome work sir. Jim Zero77, Jeff and JRutman 3
Out2gtcha Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Wow! Id be pretty happy with ANY of those, let alone THAT amount. I think its all about practice, practice, practice. If I dont use it (figgie painting skills) I loose it. JRutman and Jeff 2
