David66
Very Nice Eli! I have one of these, plus the Zactoman resin intakes and some other bits, including your wonderful VF-2 Bounty Hunters decals so I'll be watching this for sure. Hell, I may even get around to building the thing one day !
Guest Peterpools
Hi Eli With you all the way on the build and looking forward to each update Keep 'em coming Peter
Squizzy 78
Nice start. I'll be following this build very closely, I've started the trumpeter f-14b, and used the zactomodels intake kit, but when I used some primer on the intakes, I lost a lot of the fine details in the resin. After that I got disheartened with the build and it found its way to the cupboard and it hasn't seen the light of day since. I hope you have more luck than myself, and I'll be watching how you tackle the intakes, as lm prepared to purchase a new set of intakes, if I know how to paint them and keep the details. Eli Raphael
But when I tried to the air vents were interfering with the main landing gear door! Oh man, I installed them wrong! Fortunatelly liitle CA glue was used and prying them apart was not so complicated. So before you glue them, be sure ithey will not interfere with the MLDs! Eli Raphael
The resin fan blades. The plastic engine covers have an inner lip that needs to be shaved off. If not it will not properly sit and thus a big step between the resin and plastic parts will result. Now it seats better. Eli Raphael
Both resin intakes have been glued in place. The fit is not excellent. A lot of filling and sanding will need to be performed. But the end result is worth it Edited August 16, 2016 by Eli Raphael blackbetty, F`s are my favs, alaninaustria and 5 others
Out2gtcha
Looks lovely Eli! Im actually kind of surprised at the fit. I used Chris's intakes for my SU, and the fit IIRC was much better. Are these designed for the Tamiya kit or the Trumpy?

A-10LOADER
It's really a shame that a kit that costs that much is so incorrect. Man that's a ton of work Eli plus, all the filling, sanding and rescribing. Better you than me buddy. Steve Luca and David66
