RBrown Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 The kit appears to be designed for development beyond the bomber types...
Tony T Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 There was talk of it evolving into a Ju 88 C-6 night fighter Tony
Rick Griewski Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 The C-6 would be great for me and they have a nice radial now that the Fw-190 kit is out and... Pastor John has completed his cool conversions. The stars are just about in alignment for a new offer in styrene. Rick Alburymodeler 1
seiran01 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Last I heard from the rumor mill was they're doing a c2 or c6 in 2016, have heard no whispers of a later model 88 yet but they'd be crazy to not do a g6, it'd likely be a hot seller. Rick Griewski, D Bellis and Tony T 3
kalashnikov-47 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I have the AIMS G-6 conversion. About 5 minutes after I finish that model, Revell will announce that variant for 2016. D Bellis and mywifehatesmodels 2
ssculptor Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Seeking an answer to this question of earth shaking importance I visited Madam Zelda, who knows all, sees all and, if you cross her palm with silver she will tell all. Madam Zelda, a genuine Gypsy from Jersey (New Joisey dat is, ya bum ya) cranked up her crystal ball, the motor started with a low rumble and vibrations of the table, thunder and Lightning crashed about the room an and a disembodied voice seemed to come out of nowhere, saying, "What? Ya tink I know the future? Are ya nuts?" and I ended up in on the street sitting in a mud puddle. Well the Joisey Gypsy cannot help answer your question, But I think that Revell will release a night fighter version with radar antennae all over the place, just like their reissue of the Me-110 many years ago. . LSP_K2 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I still need to tackle the A-4, and I now need to also get the kit, as I was forced to sell my example.

Yes, that was the rumour I heard - a 1/32 version of this, which is a natural evolution of the A-4 with minimum change... Tony
mywifehatesmodels Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I have the AIMS G-6 conversion. About 5 minutes after I finish that model, Revell will announce that variant for 2016. Same with me and the 188 (of which there was also a rumor about, a year or two ago?). John
Guest Clunkmeister Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Quick, somebody please scratch build one or do a vac. That'll ensure we get a C-6.
stevegallacci Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 My favs would be a 'G nightfighter and '388. Have a big tail patterned. There is a '388 converstion that I may seek out, especially to avoid the "fun" of doing the canopy.
Tony T Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Between AIMS and CMK it's already possible to do a C-2, although the r/h windshield pane replacement is not easy (a pain) and I'd prefer an all-up Revell C-6 any day. And an R-1 or -2 etc might be doable based on the Fw 190 engine moulds (was the cowling much different ?) If you are alive long enough I believe a G-series will come along eventually. However, we really need a new tool Beaufighter VI.f and Me 110 G-4, to replace the early 1970s Revell editions. Tony mywifehatesmodels, Alburymodeler and CATCplSlade 3
RBrown Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 A C-6 makes sense, minimal tooling changes coupled with lots of interesting camouflage options. And, as this Hasegawa box art demonstrates, the C-6 definitely had some interesting camouflage schemes. Alburymodeler and leoasman 2
