Lovely work for SURE!   Where is that scheme from? Is that OOB from the WnW kit? I dont recall seeing it

Brian - I wanted to do the prototype in these colours - but there were too many differences in the end - so it's meant to represent a straight out of the factory early W.12 before being painted - bit of artistic licence...

Kind of helps, definitely! Trying to get my head around the steps you took. I've had something similar in mind and was even thinking of giving Aviattic's linen decals a try as a way of emphasizing the "layering" effect, but so far it's all just been mental gymnastics.
