I dont recall seeing it Brian - I wanted to do the prototype in these colours - but there were too many differences in the end - so it's meant to represent a straight out of the factory early W.12 before being painted - bit of artistic licence... I've had something similar in mind and was even thinking of giving Aviattic's linen decals a try as a way of emphasizing the "layering" effect, but so far it's all just been mental gymnastics.
