Out2gtcha
Well it was a journey of over 6 months, and more trials and tribulations that I care to count, but hes done. Here is my 1/32nd scale Hasegawa P-51D, "Dixie Boy". This is my interpretation of the 1:1 restoration bird flying out of FL, owned and flown by Selby Burch. For those who are interested, here is a link to the WIP thread: Foiled Hasegawa P-51D, Dixie Boy - WIP Thanks again to all who followed, contributed parts, decals, info and encouragement all the way through. Thanks again guys! Hope you like him.... MORE.............. Urs

Out2gtcha
Thanks again to everyone who offered their help, information, parts, decals and kind words. They were REALLY appreciated on this long drawn out 36 page WIP build, and were a big part of getting this one across the finish line. Finally, as Phil said..........VICTORY!!!! Cheers, and on to the next project!!! Brian red baron

Out2gtcha
Thanks guys...........I can say now that there are mixed emotions. I love modeling and a challenge in modeling with a subject I dig, but this one tested the limits in every way possible; endurance, patience, fortitude, and resilience to bounce back from what seemed like a punch in the gut around every turn. I'm a bit sad to see it come to fruition, but happy that its over with, so I can move on to re-doing the model room. Brian

PhilB
There's not much to add really that hasn't been said already. From a personal viewpoint, I don't think it gets any better than this. This one took you on a real journey with all the highs and lows but the main thing is that you came through and triumphed in the end. I don't think you will ever forget this one and nor will I. The next time you are having a fight with a project just remember DB and it will seem minor in comparison. Well Done mate! Phil
