    So, we are still on quarantine here in Manila, Philippines, so I decided to start a build. I have the OLD revell harrier GR1, and I have had this kit for almost 10 years in my stash, along with a resin nose conversion to a GR3. I totally forgot the one who made this, but I want to give a shout of thanks! Anyways, here we go. The resin nose fits perfect, and provides that characteristic look of the snoopy nosed harrier. Generally the Revell harrier is correct in "outline", but requires corrections and added details. Foremost is the exhaust blister fairings. They're triangular in shape, instead of cylindrical. So I decided to plaster on a styrene sheet, added epoxy putty, and started sanding away. I wont be after a perfect shape, but enough to correct the obvious.

    Hi everyone, coming soon a small and inexpensive way to decals 1/32 Fw 190 A/F/D oleo legs with the markings not included in the Hasegawa or Revell kits. The sheet also contains one 'off-topic item' - a manufacturers plate for the control stick. There are two complete sets of markings plus some alternative markings. Thanks for looking

    Hello guys I finished another Messerchmit BF 109...what else This is 109 Nr. 13 in my collection and its a Revell kit with mix of Eagle Calls and Hasegawa decals. Unfortunaly I had problem with EC decals, both number 7 decals along with two fuselage crosses just disengrated when put in the water. Luckily for me had Hasegawa boxing with same markings so I used those . That's why there is a slight difference in decal color. As for the model itself this is my third Revell Bf 109G-6 finished along with one G-10 and I really starting to hate that landing gear and prop assembly. Rest of the model is more than ok with exception of MG covers which I replaced with resin ones. Model painted with Model Master Authentic enamels with Valejo varnishes.     Here is the next build coming onto the bench. This kit means alot to me i purchased this kit the day my youngest daughter was born some 3 years ago so that i could built it with the UK scheme with the HUGE heart on the belly. This is also a reminder of how time flies by so fast! The Kit : Revell Revell BAe Hawk T.1A Markins : XtraDecals XX245 or XX307 208(R) Squadron, 4TFS RAF Valley, 2009 Display aircraft I started unpacking the kit yesterday and glued some of the cockpit teaching my oldest daughter how to cut parts off the sprues. I was hoping to get some Am ejection seats but cant really find any so ill build it like this OOB. The detail level is actually pretty good One of the fuselage sides is seriously wrapped, im hope ill be able to fix that. Maybe with some hot water. Cheers

    Hello All, As promised, here are the first instalments of my own thoughts on the new Revell 1/32 Spitfire IIa kit. Following in the sure footsteps of Iain Ogilvie and Jenn Wright, this will be very much my own opinion of the kit as I wanted to personally find out for myself what all of the fuss was about and was therefore determined to buy a kit ASAP in order to do this review. Apart from giving the kit a 'once over', the other reason for this assessment and review was to do something that all of the members here have been asking - tell them if there are any anomalies, and more importantly, how to actually fix them! First impressions on opening the box My kit came in just a fraction under £20.00 to buy. The plastic is a soft pale green-gray colour and there appears to to be in excess of 180 individual parts in the kit. My immediate first impression is that this kit has a good level of detail and number of parts for the cost, making it very good value for money indeed. Looking at the kit parts, the current trend for rivet markings represented by small hollows is very evident. This is not overly done - not as finely executed as on the Tamiya Spitfire kit, but better than the Trumpeter or Hobby Boss kits - and will easily be lost under a fine coat of filler or layers of paint. The detail parts look simplified, but generally accurate in shape and the cockpit is surprisingly well appointed when compared to many of the more well established and elderly Spitfire kits in this scale. The decal sheet looks like it is high quality and should bed down well on the kit and look good. More to follow in due course... Derek

    Hi Guys, Back with another project that's going ahead at a cracking pace. I was at the Essex Model Show a few weeks ago and saw a Dragon 1/48 Mistel 6 on the shelf of one of the traders. So out with the fivers and I'm now the proud new owner. The week after was the Avon Show and I was on our club stand (Wiltshire Scale Modellers) and met up with Wunwinglow who took the kit with the intention of scaling up some of the parts and making them in 3D. Also got my hands on the new Revell Me-262A single seater courtesy of Andy Hills at Antics Models, another club member.     Hello, while I wait to get back home to keep building my Ju 87G, I'll be posting photos of my Do 335 from Revell/Monogram. The kit is actually 45 years old, but it still holds up well when compared to its Tamiya counterpart.

    Gday everyone, longtime lurker first time (in-progress) poster. I'm using an old photo bucket account for my pictures but am considering different options in the future depending on how the pics look on here. Input and comments welcome. Anyway, the build. Revell's 190s. Fantastic bang for the buck, y'all know what to expect. This one is an OOTB to break in a new airbrush, new paints and some new surface detailing techniques. Some more successfully than others. Construction is fine, plenty of mold lines to clean off, but overall very nice fit. Construction progressed smoothly. And onto the main event. Black primer over everything. Plenty of flaws, but this one has no ambitions of being a contest winner. I've drawn on rivet lines and carved out a stressed skin look, to break up the shiny smooth surfaces. Alclad airframe aluminium down over areas to be chipped later Next up, some fancy MRP paints!     So after lurking for so long, and with certain responsibilities being met, I decided to start a build. It's been a long time since I last built a kit (4 years ago?!?!). I got the new revell kit, and started cracking on it. I'm not sure for markings yet, but I'm leaning on Lt Donald Emerson's P-51D. So anyways, here's photos of the build.     Hot on the heels of the two Cobra builds, I have just finished the old Revell AH-64A in 1/32. I built it as an IAF AH-64A Peten. Let's say it is my approximation of a Peten, I certainly do not claim exact accuracy, but I tried to include the main features of the Peten: the larger sponsons with the flares dispensers, the chaff dispensers under the winglets and the droptanks which you see all the times on the IAF Helos. I used an old Verlinden detail set (where the PE was missing, bummer), the flightpath AH-64A detail set and the antenna, pitot and chain gun are from Masters. The dcals are from Sky's decals. The flightpath set is very good and worth the effort: the wheels, the hellfire and all the wire cutters (nose, wheels, underside, topside) are from the set and do make a huge difference on a kit which is a bit barren but which fits well and has great raised rivets. I am very happy with it, not perfect by any means but I hope you will enjoy it. Cheers, David

    Hello friends Being the first jet fighter jet in the world to enter service, my duty had to be to have it in my collection. Although it was late his introduction in service could have recovered the air supremacy for the Luftwaffe in the Second World War. The model is from the Revell brand at 1/48 scale.     With mojo running low I decided I needed a cheap and cheerful build. Out came Revell's Mk IX Spitfire. Adding a pilot obviated the need for lots of cockpit detailing (as well as demonstrated my ineptitude at figure painting). Aside from the pilot its OOB. Markings are RCAF 416 Squadron out of Tangmere in 1944 as per the kit. The major markings are sprayed using montex masks. The invasion stripes are speculative on my part as I have no evidence this aircraft ever had them. Call it modelling licence and anyway I just like the look of them. 1944 Spitfire without invasion stripes is like alcohol free beer - missing something. Painted with Mr Color RAF late war set. I must confess that I'm really impressed with the paints. They spray easily and dry quickly to a hard satiny finish,

    Time to start my tribute build project. Corsairs definitely seem popular lately Been awhile since I've done a prop so will try to do some justice to this kit. Like so many of us I built this kit as a teenager so when I had a choice of what to pick up I decided on this one. The intent isn't to be exact, my purpose is to recreate a childhood memory. My Uncle Dennis grew up in Akron Ohio by the Goodyear Airdock. He remembers seeing the corsairs flying over all the time. When he was about 8 he used to shoot his bow and arrow at them as they flew over lol. I expect this will be just a slightly dirty bird as I understand it they leaked oil from the radials no matter what the flying conditions were. Anyone who can drop in a few pictures as the project moves forward please feel free to do so. That will really help when I go to paint her. I may have to do my own decals for the major markings. The plan is to do an AC from VF653, which was a Naval Reserve Squadron out of Akron Ohio. VF653 was aboard the USS Valley Forge (CV45) during the Korean conflict. Most likely I will do Cook Cleland's AC. He was an Ace during WWII and became a Thomson Trophy winner before Korea. In addition to all this he was from Cleveland Ohio so the whole local area theme is playing big here!

    This is the older Revell kit, but it still makes up into a nice kit and the fit is actually pretty decent. Link to my build thread below. The aircraft is one used in the 100 Hours, or more commonly known as the Soccer War between Honduras and El Salvador in 1969. It was the last air war fought with piston engined aircraft, Honduras flying Corsairs and El Salvador flying a mix of Mustangs and Corsairs. Surviving fighters on both sides continued to serve into the 1970's.

    Dad gave me this kit when he was cleaning out his study. The fuselage was unfortunately wrecked, but thanks to Kagemusha, who was able to supply me a fuselage he didn't need. I'll be building the kit for my old man, not sure on colourscheme yet, probably build it with the wings folded too.

    Whilst I was clearing out my modelling stash for a sell off around IPMS late last year I stumbled across s pile of Revell Hunters - one bought at £29.99 all the rest (6) at £9.99. I actually started work on the first Hunter well over 15 years ago and has since been laid on the shelf of doom after one of our cats knocked it off the table and it broken into pieces. I did rescue the interior and I have now completed some minor repairs to the said cockpit. This was primarily based on the kit cockpit with FlightPath add-on and some resin parts for the sidewalls and ejector seat (I think there might have originally been KMC?). I also added a bunch of tiny details to the cockpit from photographs of F4 and F6 Hunters. I used some of the Flightpath set to add some details to the rather bare wheel bays and some approximate wiring - but nothing like as much in the real aircraft. At the end of the day no-one is going to look underneath anyway :-) Next step is to zip the cockpit up and start on the main assembly and then the various airbrake / flaps from Flightpath - I might even stretch to the gun pack as I have the set. The SU-27 is not dead - just dormant :-)

    First fresh build for 2019. Just finishing off a P51 from the 15th FG 308th This is part 1 of a 2 ship build based up Piotr Forkasiewicz artwork for the eduard 1/48th G10 profipack. I recently picked up the Japo KG(J)6 109 book and it has several erla built machines which feature the red and black chequered defence band so a red stripe/red chequered build off was on. I haven't decided upon the exact plane just yet.

    this is my entry for the group build I whant to do it longer to build a diorama so now it will be a good time to go for it the idee came when i whas surfing the net for info when i found this pic so i wil try to make this what i have so far this wiil be long term but we have a year i can work on the armour for distraction because there is a lot to do to convert the mi-17 most importend thing just having fun Mark
