Very interesting project, Looking forward to your progress. -
Looks fantastic, what did you use for the stencils in the cockpit?

Like Effik said, I've always done black for the windscreen and interior color for the sliding part.
-
I'd say you nailed the effect. Looks very convincing.

Did this build ever get completed? Looked to be a good start, and now I'm going to see if I can get a copy of Wally Ingham's book.

Great to see this one back underway....so to speak.

*** Finished*** 1/32 Hasegawa P-47D-30 "Duck Butt"

I'll second that. I started out using Model Master Metalizers and switched to Alclad some years ago. They are much more durable and I didn't really have any difficulty with them from the get go. Here's a shot of a Tamiya P-47 I did a few years ago, done in all Alclad. I hope I'm not hijacking your thread Tolga. -
"Sword of exact zero", great reference.

Airfix 1:24 Ju87B - Airscale Saves the Day-A Great Kit is Waiting
jep1210 replied to CraigH's topic in Works in Progress
Cripes-a-mighty, that Airscale detail is fantastic. Love your back story too, got me thinking of all my all kits from when I was young that never got saved. All for the best, I usually slapped them together sans paint (hey, the plastic WAS molded in the "correct" color, right? ) in about an hour, mostly Monogram for me back then. Looking forward to seeing this build come together. BTW, I've never heard of Jetex, back when I was building balsa kits in the mid/late 70s, we just had rubber band "engines". Maybe it was before my time or not available in the States(?).
