Nice progress Jeroen.  The paint lifting does not look bad except on the rudder, I am sure you will be able to sort that issue out and it will look great in the end.

Greif8 got a reaction from Trak-Tor in 1/32 H2S radar set for Lancaster - any available?
Hi Tony, as was pointed out by Thierry there is no aftermarket part(s) for the H2S/H2X.  The antenna was a parabolic type, that looked a lot like today´s satellite TV antennas.  Below is a photo of an AN/APS-15 Antenna for an H2X radar set.  These were fairly large; American B-24 bombers had them installed in place of the ball turret.  The AN/APS-15 revolved at 20 RPM, and because it was curved like a dish allowed it to scan both horizontally and vertically.  The antenna for the British H2S was also parabolic, looking much like the AN7APS-15, and it was nearly the same size, having an RPM of 60.  As an aside, you would not see the antenna unless the radome was removed, but you probably already know that.  I will see if I can dig up a photo of the H2S antenna from my sources for you.

I built the HK Nose Art kit a bit over a year ago and the kit has a Mark I or Mark II version of H2S (Externally the versions were very nearly the same).  Below are a couple of photos from the build thread I did.  The kit parts look like accurate representations of either the TR3159 (Mark I) or TR3191 (Mark II).   The "cables" are scratchbuilt - the connectors are molded in the parts - and I added a couple of small labels and guages to add interest, but again, the kit parts look good.  It does not look like it would be too hard to scratchbuild the kit parts shown, if you are into that level of scratchbuilding.

    Hi all,
Assembly has moved forwards and the 'Aviattic' Linen Weave effect decals applied where required.
The relevant kit decals have been applied also.
Added the carburettor fuel supply pipe.
Now it's onto applying the weather and pre-rigging before final assembly,

    Hi all,
A representation of the carburettor control fitted.
As there's no reference for the Argus As.III engine, I've based it on similar engines of the period,

    Hi all,
An update on the Hannover build.
The fuselage has been closed up.
Fuselage, wings and tailplanes have had their panels and fittings etc painted.
Pilots Spandau machine gun fitted as well as the nose cowl and some of the engine access panels (others will be left off).
Still some work to be done before weathering then preparing and applying the decals.

    Some progress
After artist oil paint washing  main landing legs installed.
After that I painted and placed Kidney exhaust stacks of the kit. Next step is matt coating.
I have a feeling I should finish this project before Murphy's unwelcome visit. Run rabbit run!!

Of note, we had dinner last evening with friends from NC, they're being tourists in Nashville. She has historically been referred to as my wife's twin sister. They're not sisters but discovered in their first math class in college that they have the same birthday and were born minutes apart. She grew up in Hagerstown, MD. Not far from I81 and the western end of the main runway. Her father worked for Fairchild, unfortunately he started working there in the early '50s and double unfortunate that he's passed. We were talking and I eventually showed them a photo of this model. She became very intrigued and immediately started texting with one of her brothers who I guess knows some of the Fairchild old timers. I guess I'll see if any more information comes to light about this aircraft.
